Introducing our new Intimately Free People Line

The foundation of every outfit are the intimates – the items that don’t always show, but can go such a long way in making you feel comfortable and confident in your skin. We are so excited about the launch of our intimates e-book and all new line, and I asked our intimates fashion manager to tell us about her inspiration, key pieces and what’s coming up for Intimately Free People! Store Style: Intimately FP

As I mentioned the other day, we can’t get enough of our new intimates.  We love them for lounging around the house, but we also love wearing them out – adding little touches of velvet and sparkle that are perfect this time of year.  We decided to ask our California FP girls to give us some styling inspiration on how they would wear their intimates all year round!

One of our favorites this holiday season is the beaded bandeau – it looks adorable peeking out under a plaid buttondown, worn with a lace maxi skirt!

This is such a cute layered look: the sequin cami worn with the lovebug striped thermal, victorian angel cardigan, tall socks and boots.

The dotted lace tee looks lovely with the pleated wideleg pant and a vest.

A delicate slip and sequin cami look perfect under the gorgeous long chiffon bed jacket, topped off with a headpiece.

I love this romantic outfit! The velvet extreme flares and new romantics chiffon capelet with the printed velvet bralette underneath.

Get festive for the holidays in the voile and lace slip worn over dainty shorts with knee high socks and the fairisle maxi cardigan when it gets chilly!

Perfect for a night out: the medallion seamless slip worn with a slip in a contrasting color underneath, the joe lace up boot (the new black/brown color is gorgeous), statement necklace and headpiece!

Here’s a great idea – wear a long sleeved layering tee under a cropped bralette! Add the reversible fur vest and pile on the rings and necklaces for this cool layered look.

Layering tops like the floral burnout henley are also great for taking your favorite summer tank into fall and winter!

Add a little sparkle to a tomboy look of destroyed denim and the open lace sleeve top with the sequin cami.

The long chiffon bed jacket looks amazing over the beaded bandeau and cutoffs with cute little ankle boots!

And lastly, we have the sequin cami paired with the adorable high waisted textured shorts and fairisle maxi cardigan. Love!

seamless style

here at the home office we’re crazy about our seamless intimates.  they’re very “ginger” pieces on their own but are essential layering pieces for all the fp girls.  today some of our buyers all came in wearing their favorite seamless piece styled in some very different but equally awesome ways  – check it out…

a seamless bodysuit is perfect for layering under something semi-sheer like the finale in fringe slip!

she’s wearing the seamless tupelo honey top over the seamless scoop tank – a great combo with a printed skirt!

the seamless corset top looks adorable under a button-down shirt!

the seamless bodysuits are perfect to wear under a skirt too.

and a little pop of cheerful color goes a long way :) love the color of this eyelet crop bralette!

beautiful girls :) check out all our seamless items here and tell me:

what’s your favorite seamless item and how would you style it?

fp fashion at coachella!

even though we didn’t get to go to coachella this year, we were still there in spirit, and in the form of these lovely ladies rocking free people at the festival!

i am in love with this look! our eyelet crop top looks amazing with a printed skirt, and bare feet are a bonus :)

left – our runaway lace kaftan is perfect for the beach or festivals; right – head to toe fp in the directions in lace maxi skirt and fp-1 bralette from our holiday book.

lovely lace! the dress on the left is a january item that’s currently unavailable but we will be getting more in june! the maxi on the right is a may catalog item – it has arrived in some of our stores and should be online soon :)

cute skirts and dresses look awesome paired with converse kicks.

this is one of my fave fp tops ever – i wore it all last summer! love how it looks with the polka dot shorts.

a bag for coachella

who’s going to coachella this weekend?! unfortunately we aren’t going this year but that doesn’t mean we can’t get in the mindset… here’s a look at what i would bring if i were heading to coachella…

i drew most of my inspiration from the two outfits pictured above.  the outfit at far right is PERFECT- our little plaid cropped bralettes can be worn on their own, over a tank, or under some cute overalls like the puddle jumper romper! add the romana fest sandal and gorgeous rio brillante bag to complete the look. then the next day, wear it with some bright blue cutoff shorts and the embroidered mesh crop top like sasha pivovarova from our april catalog :)

packing lightly and being able to mix and match is key for music festivals – the sophia bikini top would look great with the overalls or just with the cutoffs as well! i would also bring a scarf to either sit on or cover up my hair, which would surely be a mess after dancing in the hot sun all day and into the night. the feather straw fedora and sunglasses would also be in my bag to keep the california sun out of my eyes. and in addition to the sandals i’d bring along some comfy kicks like the muddy waters sneakers.

when i’m at a festival, sometimes i don’t want to worry about carrying a bag so the artists and revolutionaries fanny pack would be ideal, and would hold my small journal and some sunblock. and i’m loving these candy-colored shades of nail polish by chanel! finally, i’m obsessed with the bag charms by the 2 bandits and the cute saba feather clips (on the straw hat and in sasha’s hair above)! clip ’em to your bag, hat, belt loop or right into your hair! the perfect festival accessory.

those are my picks,  click here to go to our festival shop for more inspiration :)
