I must say, I have thoroughly enjoyed all the photos and coverage that our catalog team brought back from Vietnam. The landscape and scenery of Vietnam is breathtaking and its been so cool learning more about a country I really didn’t know much about. Read More

Traveling is an eye opening and enlightening experience, and such a journey cannot be complete without an equally amazing soundtrack. One of my favorite travel experiences was on a bus going from France to Amsterdam, and I remember spending the entire trip staring out the window at the sprawling landscape dotted with quaint towns, listening to mixtapes and albums that to this day when I hear, take me back to that bus ride. For our March catalog, our team traveled across the globe to Vietnam, embarking on a journey that would take them on planes, boats and night trains, through rice fields and mountains and across ancient bridges, capturing it all on film as they went. It is one of my favorite catalogs to date – in every image there is so much to look at, from the colors and the clothes and beautiful models to the breathtaking landscape and atmosphere of Vietnam. You can feel the energy and joy one feels when traveling emanating from each page. We’ll have lots more to come from this book, shot by Joshua Allen and Thomas Northcut featuring Martha Hunt and Michele Ouellet, in the days ahead – here’s a little sneak peek!
Our February Catalog is here, and this time it stars none other than the fiercely beautiful, Freja Beha Erichsen! For the book’s concept, Freja takes on each of the brand’s girl types: Candy, Meadow, Ginger, Lou, and Molly. The fashion changes with each girl, from Lou’s graphic tees and sporty touches, to Candy’s polar opposite frilly and flirty dresses. Each girl has her own unique style, but unanimous across the board is that free-spirited quality possessed by every Free People woman. Photographer Joshua Allen captured Freja as she delved into each girl type and embodied what makes them strong, confident, and stylish figures.
Which girl do you most identify with from the catalog?
This is my favorite catalog video to date – watch as Freja Beha Erichsen channels our five Free People girls! Song is “New Year’s Eve” by Mal Blum. Read More
