September Moodboard: Chasing The Sun

I talk a lot about being a summer person, but I like fall too, and I love the month of September.  This month in Philly we’ve been enjoying the best weather we’ve had all year.  Windows that have been shut almost all summer long to keep out the heat have opened up, and the crisp air wakes me in the morning Read More

Monday Quote: Experience Uncertainty

“When you experience uncertainty, you are on the right path – so don’t give it up. You don’t need to have a complete and rigid idea of what you’ll be doing next week or next year, because if you have a very clear idea of what’s going to happen and you get rigidly attached to it, then you shut out the whole range of possibilities.”

Eye Candy: Illustrations By Luci Everett

Don’t you love it when you find an artist whose work is so perfectly in tune with your personal aesthetic? When I discovered Luci Everett I saved literally every image on her Tumblr in my inspiration folder. I absolutely love the delicacy of her work and incorporation of nature, and the way she formats her illustrations like little collages. A lot of it would make really amazing stationary, too!  It is such beautiful eye candy – I hope you love it, too. :) Read More

Our fall displays this year remind me of an enchanted forest with twinkling lights, trees climbing towards the ceilings, shimmering leaves and splashes of magical watercolor. Read More

Artist We Love: Collages By Matt Wisniewski

It wasn’t until after I had saved a couple of his images in my inspiration folder that I realized they were by the same artist, Matt Wisniewski. He uses found images to create collages that look like a cross between double exposure photography and watercolor painting. I’m in love! I think his work would look perfect in a room with all-white decor; I’m envisioning a bedroom with white walls, white bedding, shaggy white carpet and nothing else on the walls but one of these collages – wouldn’t that be a soothing environment to wake up in each morning?
