Designer, model and all-around sweetheart Nicole Trunfio shares the heart and inspiration behind her new high-end jewelry line, ERTH…

Our June e-book, Washed Ashore, is one of my favorite collections and shoots we’ve done yet. I remember when our designers presented the ideas for this trend, about a year ago or more. They were deeply inspired by the sea, and by the idea of fabric being washed ashore – tattered by sand and shells and bleached by the sun. Read More
While I was in LA, I had the opportunity to visit one of our designers that used to design for FP Beach and now purely creates a collection from LA, right out of her Echo Park home. It goes without saying that her style oozes the laid back, cool LA vibe, but it has a twist… leaving you curious for more. There’s always a story behind each piece of clothing she owns, you just know there’s something unique about what she is wearing. Read More
We’re moving into warmer months, so who better to feature as this week’s Style File than our head beach designer? Read More
Have you ever looked at a girl and thought, “there’s someone who knows what fashion is?” This week’s Style File is one of those girls. She’s not scared of an Avant Garde print or dressing head-to-toe in monochromatic tomato red. Her styling is spot on, the way one images a top fashion editor being styled. Although she always looks relaxed and comfortable, you just know that she’s into fashion. The sweater she throws on is perfectly nubby, and oh, that insanely cool necklace she’s wearing? It’s the logo for her friends’ young fashion line that is blowing up in the UK right now. Her style is flawless with great attention to detail. Look close and you’ll see a dreamy braid hidden in her waves. This girl knows how to dress herself.

Load on the rings, you can never have enough!
This week’s StyleFile is an effortless beauty who’s style has a laid back California beach vibe. I don’t know if it’s her long, wavy blonde locks, the colorful friendship bracelets, or the heart tattoo on her wrist that scream Cali, but it’s definitely there. She wears a lot of stellar grunge pieces – ripped and splattered jeans, a slouchy knit hat, baggy tees, and kicks. She’ll then mix it up with an awesome Native American inspired necklace or poncho. There’s no doubt, she looks like your quintessential American girl – active and full of life. Her vivacity can’t be restricted with pompous or tailored clothing – she has no time for that.
This photo makes me want Summer. And colorful bracelets…
She takes the formality out of a cable knit sweater with fringe layering
In this cold Winter weather, everyone needs a good throw on poncho to stay warm.
This member of the Candy design team has pretty rad style. She’s not afraid to wear something far out. Piled high each day in vintage, she often dresses in motifs and themes. It’s so nontraditional that it works. With little gothic touches, and that wear-whatever-you-want motto, she reminds me a bit of Abbey Lee. Although her style is loud as can be, once you walk up and say hi she’s a quiet nonchalant personality. I love the guts that she approaches fashion with everyday.
Have you guys seen our beautiful collection of holiday ornaments? We have chosen some of our favorite jewelry designers to collaborate with, interpreting their aesthetic and materials into ornaments that can be hung on a tree! The ornaments are lovely, and the best part is – all of them can be turned into accessories that you can wear and enjoy all year round :) Our team helped put together some awesome tutorials on how to do this – first, we’ll show you how to turn the ornaments into earrings or necklaces!
DIY ornaments turned into earrings
What you need:
A pair of pliers and two earring hooks – you can find these online at places like amazon or at your local craft store.
We used the Zodiac Coin Ornament – I love that these have little fortunes on the back :)
Using your pliers, remove the large hook that comes on the ornament.
Replace the large hooks with the earring hooks, using the pliers to pinch them shut.
You now have a new pair of earrings :) It would be really cute to mix your own zodiac sign on one ear and a loved one or best friend’s sign on the other!
DIY ornaments turned into necklaces
This one is really simple – all you need is a chain of your choosing, and, depending on which ornament you use, you might need the pliers.
We used the Crystal Claw Ornament:
Remove the ribbon the ornament comes with.
And add the chain! Easy peasy.
These ornaments would make great earrings OR necklaces:
