We have a very exciting event taking place this Saturday at our Cambridge store! I will be there from 12-3PM with lots of fun crafting supplies to make some of our favorite DIY projects from the blog! As the holidays approach, there’s really nothing better than crafting something for someone you love with your own two hands :)
We’ll have lots of fun supplies and embellishments but feel free to bring your own stuff too – maybe you have an old shirt or jeans that you want to spice up, or a Christmas stocking that you can personalize FP-style… the possibilities are endless :) Put your crafting cap on and come out and join us – you can RSVP on the facebook event page here.
I’ll have more info on one of the DIYs later today but here’s a little peek at what we’ll have on hand this weekend…
Get cozy at Free People Seattle! Enjoy hot cocoa and apple cider while you shop all day Friday and Saturday (10am – 8pm)! With every “cozy” purchase made you will be entered in a raffle to win a $50 gift card or special one-of-a-kind gift basket :)
Stop by Free People Pittsburgh this Friday through Sunday for our Fall Student Appreciation! You’re back in school and the weather is getting cold. Come into Free People and enjoy 15% off with your student ID!! And join us Saturday for Halloween costume ideas and treats!
Lastly, Free People Wicker Park is hosting a Trunk Show with local jewelry designer Dallas Maynard on Saturday 10/22!
Dallas will be in the store selling her pieces from 11am to 9pm.
There will be fall inspired beverages and hors d’oeuvres and live music from Rebekah & Charity from 5-8pm.
All guests who make an in-store purchase and “like” Free People Wicker Park on Facebook on Saturday, October 22nd, will be entered in a raffle to win a Free People gift card!!
In addition, any customer attending the event who “likes” Dallas Maynard Jewelry on Facebook on the same day, will be entered in a raffle to win a piece of jewelry from the Dallas Maynard Collection!
Winners will be announced on Facebook on Monday, Oct. 24th.

some friends of mine are involved in a nonprofit organization called the firefly literacy fund that I think is really cool…it’s all about bridging the opportunity gap in the city of philadelphia by working with families, teachers, schools and shelters. they have donated hundreds of books to elementary school students and this past october they worked really hard on turning the library at the southwark elementary school into a relaxing and inviting space where kids would want to spend time…and they did a great job, as you can see in the above images. they’re having an event this wednesday to raise money and awareness for this important cause…click here for details, and check out their website fireflyfund.org!
are any of you involved in good causes? what charities are you most passionate about?
