The day is finally here! We will be heading over to our brand new Philly store in a little bit for a private celebration, and the doors officially open tomorrow morning at 10am! The store is full of special touches – one thing I’m excited to see, is some of our incredibly talented fp girls painted the walls of the dressing rooms. From what I’ve seen in photos (above right), they look incredible. I also can’t wait to see the Love Letters installation, made up of all the amazing letters you guys sent us! And the necklaces pictured above were made by local jewelry designer and friend of fp, Sarah Lewis, who specially designed them to represent our Candy, Lou, Meadow and Ginger fp girls! I’ll take some photos of the store tonight so stay tuned for a peek at the store tomorrow :)
Also opening tomorrow is Free People Boulder! Doors open at 10am, so if you’re in the area, stop by and check it out :) The photo above is one of our fp girls hand painting the storefront window!

One of the things I’m most looking forward to when our Philly store opens on Friday is seeing our new spring store displays! Our display team has transformed the entire atmosphere of our store from rich, sparkling winter to a light and airy spring.
These could be your feet!
We have a bunch of job openings in our stores – click on the links below for more info and to apply!
Yes, that’s right, we’re comin’ to Canada!!
Come celebrate the new year AND the Year of The Dragon at Free People South Coast plaza! We will be having a special Lunar New Year celebration tomorrow, Saturday January 21st, 10am – 1pm.
What better way to kick off the new year then to refresh your wardrobe or try a style you’ve never dared to try before! We will be partnering with our lovely neighbors, AVEDA, to help you achieve the look you’re going for!
Of course there will be yummy treats for you to snack on while we style you from head to toe AND a gift from AVEDA with every purchase (while supplies last).
When you’re done with us go next door and let the ladies at AVEDA give you a whole new makeover!
We’ll see you there!

This week we are featuring our variety of slips on our website – we truly do have a style for each type of girl! Slips are ideal for third piece layering – throw it on over or under your outfit to add texture and a bit of flirtiness. We asked our California fpgirls for some inspiration on how they’d style these beauties…
Throw on a denim jacket for an extra layer!
Shop all slips.
We have two very cool job openings on our store team! We are looking for a Midwest District Visual Manager, who will be based out of Chicago, and a Northeast District Display Coordinator, who will be based out of Boston!

(psst… the image is a sneak peek at our spring store displays, going up next week!)
Here is part two of store style featuring our lovely New York girls!
“And love won’t play any games with you
Anymore if you don’t want ’em to
The world won’t wait and I watched you shake
But honey, I don’t blame you
Hell, I still love you, New York”
– Ryan Adams
The sequin button down is perfect for a night out on the town!
The seamless texture top looks too adorable under the velvet overalls.
From left to right – the printed kimono looks awesome layered under a thick cardigan; vegan leather to the max with the pleated skirt (coming back in stock soon!), lace button down, vegan leather jacket, and beaded necklace scarf (how cute does it look tied in a bow?!); and another vegan leather jacket on the right.
We can’t wait for our catalog to drop next week! In anticipation of the January book and its coast to coast theme, I thought it would be fun to check out the style of our California and New York store girls – they all have such amazing style, and you can definitely see the difference in the style of the opposite coasts. I love them both!
“Made up my mind to make a new start, Going To California with an aching in my heart.
Someone told me there’s a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair.
Took my chances on a big jet plane, never let them tell you that they’re all the same.
The sea was red and the sky was grey, wondered how tomorrow could ever follow today.
The mountains and the canyons started to tremble and shake
as the children of the sun began to awake.”
– Led Zeppelin
The reverse it kachow thermal screams Cali style – and it goes with everything! Worn here, from left to right, with: the sequin cami, destroyed denim flares and marrakesh floppy hat; denim cutoffs and zigzag turban; pieced lace maxi and headband; zig zag lurex pant and headpiece; extreme flares and hat.
On the left, a super-cute summery look with the o-town muscle tank, colored skinny jean and straw fedora. The look on the right looks like it’s straight out of our blue hues collection! The destroyed denim flares, seamless texture top and caldra pullover.
On the left, the reverse it kachow thermal again, worn over the the sequin cami and ruffle leggings – such a cute laid back outfit! On the right, the zig zag lurex pant worn with a tee and maxi cardigan.
Great minds think alike! Two of our Cali girls wear the fp one pacific trails printed pant with a basic tee and denim button down.
Stay tuned for some NYC style later today!
