DIY Polka Dot Friendship Bracelet

Friendship bracelets have always given me a sentimental feeling — they can bring back thoughts that might be easily lost. Just by looking at them I feel a lot of warmth close to my heart. These bracelets are often given to me by close friends, by my sibling whenever she travels, or picked up by myself when I go to places that I don’t want to forget. In this post I’ll show you how to make a simple summer friendship bracelet for yourself or your friends. Read More

Cambridge Crafting Party Photo Diary!

Early Saturday morning I flew to Boston for our Holiday Crafting Party at Free People Cambridge. It was such an amazing day – we were blown away by the creativity of everyone who came to the event, and it was so great to just sit around a table, talking and crafting for a few hours! Here’s a photo diary of the day :)

It was an early flight…very early… but this sunrise made it ok.

One of our crafters, Nicole, blew me away with her style and creativity! She made the following braided hat band, necklace and bracelet. And her rad printed jacket is actually a men’s shirt that she found in Africa – amazing.

Fall layering done well by Kerrin.

Get the look: oversized sweater, tights, slouchy socks, buckle boots, light jacket and chunky scarf. Piece of cake!

Friendship bracelet making :)

ornaments

So many amazing holiday ornaments were made!

One girl used the embroidery thread and tied a bunch of tiny bows that she glued to the inside of the ornament – soooo beautiful.

Wouldn’t it be a sweet gift to put a ring or something small inside a homemade ornament?!?

wednes-diy: friendship bracelets

a couple of weeks ago, inspired by a tutorial on honestly…wtf, one of my coworkers was inspired to bring back her love for making friendship bracelets, and created this masterpiece :) personally, i’ve only ever been able to do the straight line across or the V pattern, so i had to know how to do this.

for this tutorial we’ll learn how to make a smaller scale version of the bracelet, and once you get the basic steps down you can start experimenting with more string and lots of colors!
