This past weekend, San Francisco residents were graced with quite a gift. West Coast Craft premiered its first year at the Fort Mason center both Saturday and Sunday. Over 150 handpicked beautifully curated vendors displayed their highly skilled craft mediums; perfumers, soap makers, textile artists, home goods and furniture designers, artisan candy crafters… well, you get the gist. Every corner of handmade-craftdom was covered. Artists came from Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco and all points in between. Walking the rows of this event, you felt the proud representation of the West Coast and all of its talented artistic pioneers. Read More
When I first encountered the photos of “Brotherhood of the Sun”, I was completely taken. Taken by the sheer magnitude of happiness and honesty. You really can see it… honesty and happiness that is. Read More

My alarm rings and my senses start to awaken. I press the snooze button until my mind has fully become aware that it’s time to wake up. It’s 6:00 am on a weekday. I’m laying in bed staring at the ceiling, thinking to myself, “Do I really want to get up and get ready? Maybe I should stay and have an extra hour in bed…” Read More

On a daily basis, I have certain essentials that I need to carry with me all the time, it’s a mild OCD. I feel like my day is not complete without them. I believe most people have this trait, and I’m always curious to see what little things people like to carry along with them. Whether it’s in their bag, placed on their work space to look at everyday at work, or just things that they feel they need to have around them in their space. It says a lot about one’s personalty I think.
My daily essentials are quite common, with a little obscurity about them – take a look at my daily essentials. We’d love to know what yours are, too. Read More
The seven chakras are the energy centers in your body in which energy flows through. Ever since I started practicing yoga I have been aware of these energy points in my everyday life to help me feel balanced, healed, and open. If one of these energies is blocked, it can lead to an illness, so it’s important to understand what each chakra (energy point) means in order to keep the energy in your body flowing nicely.
I have always been intrigued and curious about meditation and how to actually master it and let all your thoughts run free. I’ve touched upon mild meditation briefly in my yoga class but I have never been fully successful at it. I find it incredibly hard to not think of anything at all and just let go, it’s virtually impossible. So like most of us I enjoy being challenged and want to conquer the art of meditation. I feel in a world where everything is so constant you always feel slight anxiety that you’re missing a beat. Read More

Whenever I feel a little unbalanced I usually blame it on the full moon, because I always find around this time I get emotional, touchy, and aggravated. Many people tell me it’s just a myth, but I’m pretty convinced that the moon’s pull has an impact on my body. Read More
I’ve always been intrigued by the holistic way of living and I try and practice it as much as I can. I always get tied up with the thoughts of “are my work outs enough,” “Do I need to run more,” “do I need to be working out every day in order to be healthy,” then I came across the holistic approach.
