Just because it’s Fall doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to turn dark and drab! We have some really colorful new product right now and we love mixing it in with blacks and whites to add a pop of sunny color to your outfit this Fall. What I love about these colors is that they’re a really lovely washed out neon – not too bright – like they’ve been sitting in the sun all summer and have now reached their perfect shade. Read More
Fun, laid back and relaxed! Pretty whites and special details brought uniqueness to this week’s office style. We always love when there’s an array of white around the office playing with bright pops from other people’s looks.

Moving into spring, the freshest color palette – the one that the entire fashion world is falling for – is proving to be neon. Amongst the electric hues, one in particular seems to stick out: lime. It’s that sour, half green, half yellow, heavy on the bright – shade. Add it into an outfit, and there’s an immediate zinggg. Which is your favorite FP item popping with the must-have hue? Read More
My original plan for this post was to take photos of boho details to go along with our hippie hippie shake trend -but as I sat in a meeting with most of our office this morning, I kept noticing pops of neon everywhere I looked. Our office was buzzing today with lemon, lime and hot pinks – this is clearly a trend we are all embracing. Read More
Today I’m at the independent fashion bloggers conference (IFB) where a community of fashion bloggers share their experiences. A panel of influential blogging experts such as Bryan Boy, Cupcakes and Cashmere, DKNY PR girl and others talk about their traits and why they love what they do. As you can expect from a group of bloggers from New York City the fashion here is quite something, Neon and Jewels are definitely hot topic!
I love quirky little details… today I kept noticing little things that made an outfit unique, like a little bit of leather on a denim shirt, pairing a vintage tee with a sequin vest, adding suspenders to the basic denim and tee, statement collar necklaces, striped denim and leopard, neon bracelets – you name it, our FP girls are rocking it.
You can find the neon bracelets in our stores!

This week’s style file is our Associate Buyer for accessories, who traveled to the US from England to work at Free People. Her style is quirky and avant garde. It’s full of color and pattern – often with a theme like neon or turquoise. I love the risks she takes. There’s no fear, and nothing is too outrageous. It is, however, always inspiring.

If you look at our accessories collection online right now, you’re sure to notice a trend – we’ve gone crazy for bracelets! This season we are all about piling up the wrists with wrap bracelets, friendship bracelets, charm bracelets and cuffs. What I love about this trend is that you can literally wear your personality on your sleeve – fashion sense, friendships and meaningful symbols are all on display, and the combinations are endless and always somehow work.
