NYFW Street Style 2014: Part Two

You are sure to see amazing street style outside of the runway shows during NYFW, but I also love how this week in particular seems to bring out everyone’s best style, even if the shows and after parties aren’t on your agenda. Read More

New York Fashion Week Street Style

As you all already know, New York Fashion Week is underway the runways are full of collections for Autumn/Winter 2013. We have been keeping our eyes peeled for fresh looks on the runways and on the streets. There’s no denying that New York pulls out all the stops during this week from neon pops in knits, mixed prints in shoes and pants, and the classic winter attire that looks somewhat cooler during this week. NYFW Street Style Diary

Despite the ice cold weather and the high speed winds of blizzard Nemo, we headed to New York City on Friday to capture street style outside of Lincoln Center. Every season during NYFW, the fashion parade hits the sidewalks and entertains us with unique looks, daring statements, and enough color and print that make our heads turn not just once but twice.

NYFW street style

Yesterday New York street fashion came alive with pops of neon; we spent the day back and forth between the Lincoln Center and Milk studios trying to hunt down some looks that caught our eye.
It’s always so fascinating watching how people choose to dress themselves and you can always read something about their personality just by what they are wearing. I for one love soaking in fashion; it’s like a book it makes your imagination run wild.

Pretty pastels were teased by bright pops, and yes spring florals are starting to creep their way in, bring on the spring!

In the evening we finished off the day at the Betsy Johnson show and as you can expect it was quite a performance, full of energy and bright lights it was hard to keep up! Here’s round one of our Street Style, more to come tomorrow!

My NYFW Diary

Yesterday after an evening of spending some time with my friends who are visiting New York from London I headed to the Mara Hoffman show. Her fall collection was inspired by “Shaman gauchos”. The ultimate bohemian bombshell sprung to mind as I watched meteorite patterns, tapestry motifs, and “third eye” symbols run down the runway with a jewelry collaboration with All For The Mountain! I left breathless and with a clear indication of how exactly I want to dress for Fall 2012.

Mid afternoon I made my way to “Pie and Thighs” in Williamsburg for a quick southern bite before departing back to Philly in the snow. Tomorrow I’m back to the Big Apple to take a bite at Street Style. I’ll also be checking out the Betsy Johnson show and after party!
