For our March catalog, our team traveled across the globe to Vietnam, embarking on a journey that would take them on planes, boats and night trains, through rice fields and mountains and across ancient bridges, capturing it all on film as they went. It is one of my favorite catalogs to date – in every image there is so much to look at, from the colors and the clothes and beautiful models to the breathtaking landscape and atmosphere of Vietnam. You can feel the energy and joy one feels when traveling emanating from each page. We’ll have lots more to come from this book, shot by Joshua Allen and Thomas Northcut featuring Martha Hunt and Michele Ouellet, in the days ahead – here’s a little sneak peek!
We’re on our way home!!! As you can see we are all very sad… what a trip! Now you’ll have to wait until March to see some magic :)
We’re shooting at a temple in Hue today… and it’s pouring rain! Martha and Michele were fully prepared:) Another flight tonight, back to Hanoi!
Hello again from Hanoi! It’s 6 am, and we’ve just arrived back on the night train from Sa Pa, and just enjoyed a delicious breakfast of Pho and watermelon juice. We’re about to hop on a flight to Hoi An, a beach town on the south central coast of Vietnam, on the south China Sea. We’re literally doing hair and make-up on the street outside of a cafe…
We just arrived in Sa Pa! Sa Pa is located in northwest vietnam, a quiet mountain town known for its dramatic rice fields. It feels like Christmas here, foggy and cold. Going to a be challenge to shoot outside in this weather:)
Last night we spent the evening on a junk boat in Halong Bay, a land of floating villages and magic landscapes – one of the most indescrible experiences we’ve ever shared. Can’t wait to share photos with all of you. Another 5 hour drive ahead, and then we’re off on an 8 hour night train to Sa Pa. See you soon!
