Beautiful, Century-Old Valentines

I have always been a sucker for all things antique: furniture, clothing, decorations. They allow me to imagine a world where attention was paid to even the tiniest of details and life was just simpler. The Free Library of Philadelphia has a special section called the Print and Picture Collection, which is overflowing with old photographs and prints, as well as postcards, trading cards, magazine clippings, and so much more. I found out from our creative director that they have an entire collection of old valentines, and I couldn’t wait to go. Read More

Behind The Scenes Of Our Vintage Loves Lookbook

The team behind our Vintage Loves line is so inspiring.  Every month our vintage buyer puts together amazing collections of hand-picked vintage pieces around a certain theme.  For the launch of each collection, she and our creative director and vintage photographer scout out locations to shoot the pieces – either as a vignette or, as we’ve been doing more of lately, a lookbook. When I bump into our videographer around our office, she stops me dead in my tracks and I ask “where is your t-shirt from?”. This usually becomes the start of our conversation. Read More

Style Inspiration: Our Moms

One thing I wish… that my mom had saved her wardrobe that she wore in her twenties. Whenever I see old photographs of her, what follows is “Mom why didn’t you save that?” I adore looking back at my mum’s style and find myself  these days wearing things that are somewhat similar;  High waisted vintage jeans, bohemian shirts, and old pea coats are all staples in my wardrobe now thanks to vintage stores.
