Sneak a peek of our latest trend!
Whenever I think of “out west,” dirty roads, dusty denims and hard boots that were made for walking for miles come to mind. I think of long journeys, a cool attitude and a never-ending story. Our shoe trend this week provokes the spirit of the Wild West. Read More
You all saw our December Catalog last week. Its pages are full of western-inspired apparel, but what you may not have noticed is that we’re also showing some pretty awesome jewels to go along with it. These pieces combine Native American influences with leather-clad, tobacco spittin’ cowboys to form what we now think of as western jewelry. To get the right feel, it’s about rough organic elements with a sort of practicality to them. The pieces combine tarnished metals and statement leather with hints of turquoise and ivory. Did I mention that these would make great gift items for a special someone? Which is your favorite western-inspired piece?
The Concho Beaded Pendant
The Cut-Out Grecian Leather Cuff
The Tarnished Rose Collar
The Mixed Stone Ring
The Tarnished Rose Cuff
The Treviso Stone Bracelet
As promised, here are some photos from our fp girls’ art opening on Friday night at Reward, called “A Distant Land To Roam.” Inspired by western prairies and Native American motifs, the show featured intricate wall hangings, drawings, collages, fabric animals, and other small goods. It was beautiful!
The beautiful artists :) On the left is our New Romantics Mesh Poncho!
The show will be up at Reward until December 30th so if you live in the Philly area be sure to check it out :)
Western-inspired looks were everywhere around the office this week. Sprinkled throughout, I picked up on notes of fringe, brass, and hide. People were tying handkerchiefs around their necks and throwing on boots like the old cattle ranchers. Others interpreted a more feminine side, piling their heads high with braids and showing off lace-up stockings.
my jaw is on the floor – gold-tipped snakeskin cowboy boots…
