In order to get these photos, Shinichi Maruyama has to use extremely fast strobe light photography, which can capture things that happened within a 7,500th of a second! I don’t think I can really wrap my mind around that one. If you look, you can see that he catches the water and ink at the moment before they mix into each other – you can see a little bit of just water and a little bit of just ink… Incredible!

how-to make a body form
I’m not sure how many of you are into designing and making your own clothes, but I figured I’d bring your attention to this body form how-to video just in case. It’s really cheap to make one, around 10 or 15 bucks it would seem, and amusingly, one of the supplies you’ll need is a Christmas tree stand. Still, it looks like a pretty viable body form! Watch the video over here.
boot accessories
I love this image found on foxyman! Some inspiration for your boot accessories. Our chain vests are great for your boots too (see what I mean in the chain vest video)
new blog discoveries
I like finding good new blogs more than anything! Maybe not ANYTHING, but it does get me really excited to be able to scroll through months of posts that I have never seen before. Today I was led to foxyman by the above photo posted on knight cat. I love foxyman’s dark and grungy rock style!
gold leaf stone decor
These stones with gold leaf decorations on them are so pretty! Poopscape Projects (unfortunate name I know) has a how-to for these little guys, and though I haven’t tried it yet, it does look pretty simple. See it here.
wolf & pig
I love this little stop-motion video! I don’t want to bombard you all with videos, but it’s really darn cute and it’s really clever – it’s put together using developed photos! Watch for yourself to see what I mean!

this will blow your mind!
Althea Crome knits things so tiny, you will hardly believe it even after you watch the video below.
Adding to her claim to fame is that she hand-knit all the little clothes that appeared in the movie Coraline. Awesome!
SoHo Store Grand Opening!
One week ago today our newest store opened, in SoHo! Our Assistant Art Director popped up for the grand opening last week and took a bit of video. The store looks so awesome! I can’t wait to see it for myself! For now the video tour will have to do – check it out!
look at this headband!
I saw this picture over on Knight Cat and I can’t get it out of my head! What sticks in my mind is that chain headband! I know that more than likely it isn’t very comfortable, but with the current craze for all things chained and studded, I have to confess I like it! It caught my eye immediately. Have you guys seen any chain headbands elsewhere? Do you think it looks cool too, or are you not feeling it? Has anyone worn one? Are they comfortable? Thoughts please!
usb tie
I couldn’t resist sharing this USB port tie with you guys – what will they think of next!?

tone matrix
The screenshot below looks pretty unassuming, but I can assure you that those little squares are actually something awesome! The Tone Matrix is a sine wave synthesizer, the key word for us here being sythesizer, as in you make music with it! I can’t explain very well how it works or what it does exactly, but if you go play with it you will not be able to stop! Try it! I really think you guys will love this – enjoy!
glove dress
This dress made of fabric with pretty gloves printed on it reminds me of Doub’s beautiful glove project that I posted a while back. The straps of the dress are actually long gloves! It was designed by Tata Naka, (<--warning, loud site with no volume control) and is sold over at this boutique.
What do you guys think of the dress? I like it a lot, but I think it would be even cuter if all the gloves on the fabric were real too! Like fringe – – although, maybe that would make it too heavy and bulky?
