It will be taking place at our 5th Avenue store in New York, from 10am until 2pm on this Friday July 10th! You don’t have to be a model, and you need not bring any photos of yourself unless you want to. On account of the size of our samples, it’s best if you are a US ladies size 4. I can’t believe this, I’m in Manhattan until Thursday! Is there ANY possible way I can meet the casting team a day early? If there is no way I am willing to look into flights going out on Friday– I’m just too close to miss it! Please, please contact me if you get the chance!

How tall do you need to be?

I don’t think you have to be any particular height, just so long as you are a size 4 so that you could fit into the samples if necessary. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Is it absolutely ridiculous to show up if you are 5’3” and a quarter?
… is this a 4 dress size, or jeans, or tops? Or all around?
(for us ladies who are a 4 dress, but have a little… more, up top)

We are so psyched that you all are interested in the casting! :):) We can’t wait!
I would like to reiterate that there is no height requirement.
And for all of you who are concerned that you are smaller than size 4, don’t worry! The main thing we are concerned with here is that our sample sizes are generally size 4, so we need you to fit in them! However if you are a size 2 or 0 or something, that should be fine! After all, you won’t be too big to fit in the samples, right? :)
As for having castings in other cities, for the moment we are just in NYC, but sometime in the future we may have one somewhere else! We’ll just have to see how this one goes first!

But if you guys had a free people teen.
Do yall know how much money and publicity will be made.
Especially if teens could do the modeling.

Oh I can’t believe I missed this event, I had just gotten back from the UK the week before and wasn’t on top of my game with checking the FP blog. I hope it worked out well and you guys decide to do it again soon!

Goodness! I can’t believe I missed this! I just had gotten back from Dublin the night before and hadn’t been up to date with checkin’ the free people blog :( And look at the price I paid! Never again will I not check on a daily basis! I’ve actually been very interested (dreaming) in/of modeling for Free People for a long, long time (I’m sure I’m not alone!) Is there going to be any open castings anytime soon again? I do have an online portfolio and modeling experience :) I know this is a long shot, because you I’m sure you work with an agency, but is there someone I could contact? Thank you oh so much!!!

You should have castings in Portland and spread the wings there. I can’t even stand out how sad i am that i’m not in NY….
