I love this clever floor! It’s all tiled with pennies! I bet it shines in the light very appealingly too! See it in person at The Standard Grill in the Standard Hotel in New York City!

This is so cool! It reminds me of the Cildo Meireles work “Mission/Missions (How to build a Cathedral)” and since you enjoyed this pennies floor I thought you might dig the Meireles too.
Pic here of the whole thing, though it’s so gorgeous in person, it really does feel like a holy/reverent area with the lighting and intimacy: http://austin.about.com/od/museums/ig/BlantonMuseum/Meireles-Blanton-Exhibit-.htm
And here’s me touching it! It was in London so all the coins were pence, not pennies: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lhall/3188138613/
