night and day

the girls of our san antonio store sent some cute photos showing how to style different items during the day and at night! check it out…

here is the malawi vines dress, looking cute and casual with boots, carrie’s woven fedora and a crossbody bag for the daytime.  at night keep it simple with a waist belt and some layered necklaces!

two

wear the downtown date dress during the day with the v cardi and patterned seed bead stretch waist belt. at night this dress is so perfect it doesn’t need much embellishment- wear it with sandals and a simple necklace like the neon druzy drip necklace.

three

the printed body con skirt looks sooo cute with the we the free lace and stripe short sleeve top for the daytime! at night, pair it with the seamless tupelo honey top and reese woven leather belt – you’ll turn some heads for sure :)

thanks ladies!

I moved here in January from the big smoke London.  I wanted to start fresh so packed light and got on the big jet plane.

Moving to a new country can be a pretty daunting experience. Unfamiliar with my new surroundings I had to find a place to live, pretty tough yes!

I wanted to find a place that I could play around with and create a little haven for myself. Not knowing Philadelphia I came across the first place that was safe and pleasant and took it.

Now I’m having fun making it my own. I love using my walls to create collages of inspirational thought; I collect random photo frames to trap my most memorable photos hang trinkets from family and friends and feature dried flowers wherever possible.

When I have friends over they engage themselves in the floor length mirror while I burn my multi coloured candles, dripping wax over wine bottles. The Diptyque scent usually fills the air while Nick Drakes plays subtly in the background.

My place is almost there, it’s nearly reached that comfort zone.

Starting from scratch is the most refreshing thing and letting your personality pour into a new home is quite satisfying don’t you think?

merci beaucoup

tea dye!

what’s goin’ on in here?

it’s our assistant stylist dying book pages with tea! how cool is that? it’s so easy to do- just fill up a plastic container like this with water, drop in some tea bags, and then rip out pages from a book and soak them in it! the result are really cool antique-looking pages that you can use for pretty much whatever you want- you could cover an entire wall with them, or they’d look really cool as backing for a photo album or scrap book!
