chapter four of our november catalog features our new line for little girls, wee people! as mentioned, this line is the baby of our director of design, who wanted to create a line of clothing for her daughter with free people’s unique aesthetic. her daughter was her muse, and is also one of the models in our catalog.
her favorite item in the collection? the pink faux fur coat! in fact, every wee people model went straight for it when they saw it on the rack :)
check out this behind the scenes video – it is really too cute for words.

Oh my God, she is too cute! Her personality reminds me of my sisters two daughters who never fail to make me laugh and smile!
They are so beautiful and so sweet. I want to have a baby girl too.
Absolutely fabulous! Very, very precious little girl.
Hi!
I am a student in fashion design at Parsons in NYC, graduating this May, and I love love love your Wee People collection! I have been a fan of Free People since the day I first set foot in one of your shops and it has been my dream to design for you!
You can imagine how excited I was– as I happen to be specializing in children’s wear!– when I saw my favorite brand came out with a children’s line!
I was wondering if there was anyone I could contact from the Wee People design department to submit my resume and portfolio to?
I would really love to be a part of the team!
oh my Freda is so precious. It is very refreshing to see little girls clothing on little girls and not teen clothing sized down. Kudos to all of you for helping to preserve a child’s innocence. Can’t wait to be gainfully employed again so my grand magnificents (aka our grand children)can wear wee people fashions.
