Party Dressing Begins

It’s that time again when the stores start to become filled with sexy little numbers to begin your party season. I was out shopping in Philly this weekend and was overwhelmed by how many choices I had.

So I went home and started to arrange my thoughts on how I want my party look to be.

The idea I have in mind is a tight body con worn with heels, red lipstick and a signature necklace. I have to make this look my own by teaming it with a leather jacket and lace shawl. To finish off this look I MUST own OPI’S ‘mad as a hatter’ nail colour –  it’s part of a range based on Alice in Wonderland and I need it on my finger tips everyday during holiday season!!!

So here’s my Party look number 1… I’m sure there’s going to be many more to follow!

november catalog: chapters 5 and 6

chapter five: grab a bag

“a variety to take on all life’s adventures. soft leathers and great details, in an assortment of lengths. These lovely items won’t add extra baggage but instead complete your perfect look.”

this section features some of our amazing bags for the season, on their own and worn by model zippora seven! she was shot here at our office in philly by our photographer anthony nocella- i ran into them shooting on my way back from getting coffee one day and was a little star struck by zippora!

i love the creedence messenger – its so unique and could fit everything you’d need for a weekend getaway.  i would wear it with the lace maxi and striped tee and beanie for a look that’s a little bit grunge. i also love the idea of wearing a rugged brown satchel with some of our pretty holiday  items to toughen them up!

items pictured: directions in lace maxi skirt, we the free striped burnout long sleeve, hunting for fairisle tall sock, isara ring, oversized pom beanie, creedence messenger, victorian loves lace dress, victoria rose blouse, stag satchel.

chapter six: wrap me in a sweater

6

“icelandic air was perfect for cuddling up in cozy textures and soft yarns.  wrap up in a sweater and let the cold air breeze sweep past you. these glorious sweaters will add comfort to your winter days.”

the final chapter of the november book was shot by photographer eric kvatek in iceland! when i first saw the photos i was speechless.  models julia hafstrom and jessica mau are stunning on their own but when combined with the dramatic icelandic landscape it really was taken to another level. i love the idea of styling the sweaters with lots of layered intimates items – over top of slips or the lacey skort, with tights and socks.

wrap me in a sweater

items pictured: kristal’s ombre hat, fuzzy oversized pullover, lacey layering skort, peruvian pattern legwarmer, cross my heart cardigan, vintage charm slip, dotted mesh layering top, lace inset flare.

stay tuned for more behind the scenes from iceland!

our holiday displays are now up in our stores and they are so, so beautiful… like stepping into a magical forest dusted with snow,  where trees drip with crystals and shiny trinkets catch the moonlight and twinkle like stars…

from our display team:

this year’s holiday display was inspired by vintage snowy showgirl dresses mixed in with antique silver and icy blue trinkets. we have intricately cut snowflake curtains paired with sheer glittery booti print panels – inspired by actual indian booti prints. we wanted to balance the delicate dresses and panels with organic branches and rugged cardboard gift boxes.  then to add sparkle and pops of color, we added the neon melon crystal chains to hang in groups from the ceiling.
