Readers often ask us about our favorite items and personal style, so we thought it would be fun to give you guys a little insight into our world and share our top picks on an ongoing basis! We each selected our favorite items from the May collection, and you can now browse BLDG 25 Blogger Picks on the Free People website! We had so much fun taking photos of our items and they really show how different and distinct each of our styles are. Here’s a look at the items we each chose and why we love them!

Cut Off Denim Vest: Everyone needs to own a denim vest. My style is generally frilly to the max, but sometimes it’s nice to rough it up a little — and this vest does exactly that.

FP ONE Catalina Dress: I am smitten with this dress. It’s light and bouncy, and the skirt sits on the hip in the most flattering spot possible — trust me. I’m in love with the faint blue print and the colored beading on the neck is honestly to die for. 

Enzo Cuff: How adorable is this? I haven’t worn cuffs in a while and I’ve been itching to get back into it. This cuff rules because it’s more interesting than your average — the enamel design is so eye-catching!

Caltha Platform: These platforms are so awesome that I feel like they speak for themselves. As I mentioned above, I’m obsessed with this style right now — and these are the coolest I’ve seen. Not only are they leather on top and suede on bottom, they have the most amazing color combo ever.

Crochet Fringe Skirt: Crochet is my main squeeze this season. Anything crochet needs to be mine. I’m actually wearing a crochet shawl this very moment. And the fringe on this little number? I’m in love. This summer I want to throw this baby over my swimsuit every single day.

Iris Lace Pant: Lace, oh lace. If you know the slightest bit about me, you know that I borderline worship lace. I usually rock light hues light oatmeal and pale pink , but that’s why I love these pants. They’re a gorgeous shade of blue, which is something new for me. I’d pair these with a white cropped tube top and a boatload of necklaces.

Storm Sun Hat: I’ve been meaning to get a spring/summer hat for a few years now, but I just never felt that I could pull it off. This year I think I’m ready. The weaving on this hat is oh-so-lovely. I think need it.

Frilly Highwaist Bottom: These bottoms rule. The frills are almost enough to make you feel like a little girl, but the cheeky shape is just enough to remind you that you’re not.

FP ONE Fez Dress: I’ve really been loving lace-up necklines lately — and this dress does it perfectly. I love the almost-2-piece shape this dress has and the beautiful embroidery is just the icing on the cake.

Damask Flower Beach Towel: Finally we’ve been seeing some sun here in Philadelphia and it’s really getting me pumped up to go on weekend beach excursions! I think it’d be silly not to own a beach towel that reflects your personal style — and this one will be sure to turn heads.

Vegan Leather Overalls: These are cool and edgy and I love that you can have a peaceful mind wearing them. I’d style them with a bright pop underneath.

Ivy Cutoff Shorts and Floral Etched Sunglasses: I picked these cutoffs because the dip dying look excites me right now. I love this burst of colour and they’re fun to wear with the red sunglasses.

Hadley Fishtail Sandal: I always love vintage shoes or little sandals that look like they are from the past. These dainty sandals are perfect to wear with summer dresses and even cute shorts.

Beaded Bangle: If I’m wearing a basic outfit I love to jazz it up with pops of colour. The beaded bangle against black has a nice effect.

Sequin Board Shorts: I love the idea of adding a little sparkle to beach wear in a fun way – after a day at the beach I would throw these on over my bathing suit for an evening barbecue.

Laila sandal:Flat sandals are my go-to and I love the added edge these have with the studding and straps that wrap around your ankles.

Beach Cable Pullover: This is my new favorite sweater –lightweight, slightly oversized, perfect for summer.

Coral Springs Wrap Bracelet: I love the fun colors and the simplicity of this bracelet, I probably won’t take it off all summer long!

Slim Slouch Ankle Crop Jean: I love the whole tomboy trend and these boyfriend style jeans are perfect – the fit is amazing and they have just the right amount of distressing.

Heavy Metal Lover Tank: This is a great basic that has a little edge with the metallic threading. Great to toss in your beach bag and throw on over a bathing suit, or wear out at night with a fun pop colored cami underneath.

Rancho Woven Satchel: this bag is a great style and size, not to mention just the right dose of print to add to any outfit.

Solid Underwire Crop Top: I like the simplicity of this bikini top and underwire style – plus it could be worn as a bralette under a top like the heavy metal lover tank!

Stavros Buttondown: I’ve been wanting this shirt for a while. It’s just so soft and can be worn in so many ways – a beach cover up, with a skirt out at night, even to sleep in!

Ring of Fire Skirt: this is such an easy piece – throw it on with a t-shirt and sandals and you’re good to go!

Venice Vibes Tank: I was instantly drawn to the Venice Vibes tank because of its knockout color. I can’t get enough of this year’s neons; they brighten up any look and make it fresh. On top of that, I especially love the slouchy, easy cut of the tank.

Floral Blouse: I’ve always been a workshirt girl. Button ups are a great way to look put together without much fuss. The pattern on this baby is so cheerful and springy, it puts a smile on my face.

Embroidered Super Skinny: I’ve been lusting after these guys for a while now. I got to wear them for our Rock Center opening, and have been needing them ever since. The embroidery is just the right touch of ethnic, and I’m a skinny jeans kinda girl. These pants just scream cool. I need them.

Palmetto Stone Ring: My fingers are always loaded with rings. I love the simplicity of this guy. It’s color and shape are just so gorgeous. 

Sunny Side Eyelet Fit n’ Flare Dress: Like I said, I love easy dresses. They make you feel feminine and cute, and you can just run around and do whatever you’d like. I don’t always have a lot of time to spend on getting ready, but I like to feel cute, so pieces like this are my go-to throw on. 

Essex Vegan Boot: I’ve been wanting a little black ankle boot with a small heel. I’m a vegetarian, so when I saw these vegan ones, I wanted them right away. They can work with dresses, skirts, shorts – whatever – adding a touch of cool.

Rancho Woven Satchel: Bags are a place that I love to show my bohemian side. This guy is a great carryall that you don’t have to put much maintenance into.

FP One Smocked Bike Short: I feel like these are the summer update to the Ikat Printed Balloon Pant that I’ve been living in every weekend all winter/spring-long. These are great to do yoga in, throw on at the beach, or whatever else might come my way this summer. They can be balled up and packed and they’ll still look great through anything.

Mexican Stripe Denim Jacket: I’ve been needing a denim jacket for some time now. It’s an essential item that I just don’t have. This guy is even more special with the Mexican blanket inlay. If you can’t tell already, I love bright touches of color and ethnic touches added onto basics.

Printed iPhone Case: These guys were designed by one of our print designers here at the home offices, and I love everything that she does. Simply, she’s amazing. The patterns on these guys are all out of this world, but I think I’ll be picking up the optic pattern. Gotta keep my cell phone safe. :)
