Blogger Diary: A Few Of My Favorite Things

For today’s blogger diary I thought I’d give you guys a little peek into some of my current favorite things! I recently did some spring cleaning and rearranged the top of my bookshelf, where I keep a lot of my most prized trinkets, artwork and photography.

Some of the items pictured above: wooden Buddha that was my dad’s, original copy of the White Album found at an antique store, artwork by my sister’s boyfriend, vintage postcards, Texas wildflower seeds, tiny windmill (the only thing I managed to bring back with me from a trip to the Netherlands), a piece of wood from the site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, lucky marble and turquoise frog, antique key that I’m making into a necklace.

used books and albums

I love finding used books and records at antique stores or street markets. I found these two in Brooklyn for a combined $5 – the book is one of the few by Tom Robbins that I don’t own, and the Crosby Stills Nash and Young album has some of their  best songs on it – not to mention an awesome cover with artwork by Joni Mitchell.

I have long, thin hair that dries out really easily. I just got this shampoo and my hair feels so much healthier! Moroccan Argan Oil is amazing for moisturizing and softening hair.

Mrs. Meyers products are great because they’re environmentally friendly – but also, I just bought the hand soap, dish soap and cleaning products all in the basil scent and I’m obsessed – it smells so good.

smash cocktail

The Vodka Smash at Farmer’s Cabinet in Philly – vodka, muddled sugar and mint = the most refreshing and delicious cocktail for summer.

What are some of your current obsessions??
