We want to keep you guys updated with all the cool new things that are happening here at Free People, so today I want to let you know about a little feature that was just launched on freepeople.com: back in stock notifications! You can probably guess what it is just by the name, but I’m going to tell you anyway.
Picture yourself browsing the site… you come across an item that you absolutely adore, but it’s out of stock. You decide you’re going to check back every day until it becomes available, so that’s exactly what you do.
There’s no real harm in checking the site every day, but with back in stock notifications, you can just click a little button and then forget about it. When the item you want comes back in stock, you’ll get an email alert telling you just that! This way, you’re among the first people to know the news and you can be sure that your object of affection gets to you as soon as it possibly can.

Wow! Very cool feature. I have’t seen a website offer this before. Very handy. Freepeople.com is such the trend setter!
This is a great option, but it only works if the item is out of stock in every size. For example, I want a jacket that is out of stock in every size except XS, but there is nothing I can do to be notified when the jacket is restocked in other sizes.
