This weekend I was in Brooklyn for Northside Festival – three days showcasing music, art and film in various venues and galleries around Williamsburg. The air was buzzing with soundwaves and creativity, and it was so much fun being there to soak it all in.
On Friday I had the pleasure of visiting artist David Foote in his studio to talk about an upcoming collaboration (more on that to come!) before heading to McCarren Park to catch Beach Fossils. Then it was off to the Music Hall of Williamsburg to hang with Caveman before their show and talk about what they’ve been up to lately. After a late night of music, Saturday was jam packed with more shows and interviews. I had a blast meeting the bands Field Mouse and Grass Widow, and catching Lady Lamb the Beekeeper’s awesome live show at the Grand Victory. In between the shows, there was so much amazing artwork everywhere I turned! This weekend was a celebration of “what’s next” and I certainly left feeling excited about what’s to come… stay tuned for posts on some of the amazing artists and musicians I met this weekend, and for now here’s a photo diary from the weekend!

Troost – a cute little coffee shop in Greenpoint, BK, where I had coffee and talked with the band Field Mouse.
New York sent me off with the prettiest sunset :)
