Paradise Island: Jade Mountain, St. Lucia

Our Paradise Island trend has me longing for a tropical vacation, and lately I’ve been looking around online at some of the incredible destinations around the globe. Somewhere along my search, I came across a place that I think might actually be paradise.

The place is Jade Mountain, located on a lush, tropical hillside among the Piton mountains on the western coast of St. Lucia. The resort was designed by architect/owner Nick Troubetzkoy, who wanted to create a sanctuary that would exist in harmony with nature, in all aspects from its design to the activities it offers. Rooms (called sanctuaries) feature locally-sourced furnishings and an absent fourth wall, allowing the cleansing island air to flow freely into the space, while breathtaking recycled glass-tiled  infinity pools stretch out to overlook the Caribbean Sea. The sanctuaries are technology free (no phone, no TV, and internet only upon request), and guests can partake in activites such as yoga, hiking, spa treatments and more. It is a place to remove yourself from the world and find inner peace and harmony – a place that I would love to visit one day.
