Style File: Anna Harrison, RUSSH Magazine Contributing Editor, NYC

For today’s style file we wanted to feature someone from outside of our office who is an inspiration to us. RUSSH Magazine is a favorite here at Free People, so it seemed like a logical starting point to feature their contributing editor in NYC, the lovely Anna Harrison.  Get inspired by her style and learn a bit more about her below!

Isabel Marant beige jacket, Dries van Noten paisley shirt, Ksubi white shorts, Superga trainers.

I have quite an acute Isabel Marant addiction. The store is near my apartment and often I’ll force myself to take alternative route to avoid it. I bought this jacket years ago in Paris and have lived in it ever since. The shirt I stole from my mum. She doesn’t know. I guess I should tell her now. Sorry mum, your Van Noten shirt now lives in New York.

Preen printed shirt, H&M black jeans, Loeffler Randall pumps.

I’m not much of a high heel girl so these pumps are the perfect mid-height. I haven’t tested it out yet but I’m pretty sure I could run in them.

hqm mustard silk singlet, Bassike vintage wash jeans, K-Jaques sandals.

I could never seem to find a singlet (tank) in the perfect cut and fabric, so a few years ago I decided to design my own. This one’s my favorite from my hqm range – it’s whisper thin and the perfect color for washed out denim.

Theyskens Theory sweater, Vintage Levis denim shorts, Superga white trainers.

My boyfriend bought me this sweater when we first moved to NYC. I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving it.

RUSSH style file

Richard Nicoll floral T-shirt, Isabel Marant black pants, Oliver Peoples sunglasses.

Hands down the best printed T and the best classic black pant in whole wide world.

What else do you need on a 95 degree New York day (besides an industrial air-con)?

More about Anna…

I am a Contributing Editor at RUSSH, and I’ve been working here for 3 years.

I went to college at Macquarie Univeristy in Sydney and studied originally literature/philosophy but eventually graduated with a media/cultural studies degree.

I will always want to know more.

My favorite album of all time is Jeff Buckley’s ‘Grace’.

My go to outfit is a loose shirt and black jeans.

After work I usually forage for good food, good wine (if it’s been one of those days) and good conversation.

Red wine, pecorino cheese, and truffle fries! are my biggest weakness.

If I was a character in a movie I would be Woody Allen as Woody Allen in a Woody Allen movie.

In my next life I want to come back as a highly intelligent, attractive, lovely, and exceedingly wealthy person … or a cat in the household of a highly intelligent, attractive, lovely and exceedingly wealthy person.

Beauty is the kind of authenticity that defies the tyranny of perfection.

Growing up I was a thinker, a dreamer, a very big eater.

My favorite book is Ocean Sea by Alessandro Barrico.

The best beauty tip I’ve learned is if you wouldn’t eat it don’t put it on your skin.

I never go anywhere without sadly enough, my iPhone.

A smile on a friend’s face or a big fat plate of nachos always puts a smile on my face.

My mind is my most prized possession. I could probably lose anything else and stay sane.

I have a wonderfully odd family.

The absence of judgement is what free means to me :)
