7 Uplifting Thoughts For Your Day

There are often times I read beautiful words that hit me hard in the heart. It’s like you just need things to be spelled out to you sometimes; like a little guidance of something to help you along. It can be hard to stay true to yourself. You can get caught up in pleasing other people’s worlds.

I’ve come to realize that the most important thing is YOU, but always remain respectful to the people around you. On a daily basis I try and remember these seven simple sentences.

1. Enjoy what is now, don’t worry about the future and think of the past, just concentrate on now and making the most of the time that is now and you will find you won’t get bogged down.

2. Do what you love and do it often.

3. Speak from your heart, people will engage you more.

4. Challenge yourself. Don’t get caught up in the comfort zone, always push yourself and you will come out feeling great.

5. If you don’t like something, change it. Life is too short to do something you dislike.

6.  Stop comparing yourself to others, BE YOU!

7. Share what you’re passionate about, talk out loud about things that inspire you and inspire the people around you, too.

Do you have any uplifting thoughts you’d like to share with us?

Such a good post! I especially like nr. 5 on the list – life really is too short to do something you dislike. I would like to add “DARE TO DREAM”, because I think one of the most important things in life is to have dreams – whether they are small or large dosen’t matter – and to persue those. Even if you don’t quite reach them in the way you had set out to, you will often find great things along the way. :)

I think that the saying “play the hand you’re dealt” is such a good one. Too much of our lives is spent playing out scenarios and talking about all of the things we don’t have or could have had in some other situation. We have to accept what is and make the best of it!

Take risks. Nothing extraordinary, amazing, or revolutionary has come about by cautiously following all the rules.

This is why I love free people. It’s not just a brand, though it is and it is focused on beauty/fashion/aesthetics. But it’s a mindful, creative brand with lots of thought and love poured into it.
Thanks, FP, you continue to rekindle my inspiration!

I love the quote ‘be greatful of everything you already have, not what you don’t have’. I tell my kids this when they are complaining about what they don’t have. Makes them stop and think!

Thanks a lot for this :)

I love all the quotes except number 1 :(

As “Free People” we do need to think about the future, about our beautiful world and what legacy we want to leave behind us for the next “Free People” coming after us.
And if we were to look back to our past and really take time to appreciate and realise all we had and lacked, maybe then our present would not be so worried about our future…

Pauline’s quote sums it really.

I personally like the quote “Everyone’s alive but not everyone is living” and I think life is about us as people and not about “you”… nothing will be as beautiful if there were no one else to share it with :)

As Snoop Dog would say ” It’s no fun if the homies can’t have none ” lol

Day of Women loved this positivity on our Saturday morning, setting people up for a good weekend! It is funny that these messages appear so simple, but we still need to be reminded of them. These are thoughts that should be permanently displayed somehow or somewhere in our lives.
