There’s nothing like throwing on basic items that look they are borrowed from the boys and making them your own. Simple clothes adorned with your personal touches are always interesting outfits to me. Whether it’s a simple tee, some chinos, an oversized shirt, or some rugged boots, mixing masculine elements with pretty, feminine items is a look our Free People girls were chasing this week. Maybe they took some tips from the fella below who works in our web studio.
Our Beach designer reminded us of Huckleberry Fin. She teamed a pair of chinos with a simple tee and made them her own with suspenders, a fedora, and awesome tattoos.
Our copywriter wore an oversized shirt, denim cutoffs and rugged boots – a simple but interesting outfit made unique with a vibrant bag.
Our Web Production Assistant shows how to pull off a cool statement shirt: simply tone it down with denim and a pair of dirty Converse.
Our Styling Intern dresses up a plain shirt with a jersey ruffle skirt, making her look bohemian cool. She finished off the look with easy sneakers.
Our PR Intern layers oversized shirts with a graphic tee. She makes the look more girly with a wrist full of bracelets and a statement necklace.
This week we were influenced by the boys, and why wouldn’t we be? Easy cool made pretty is always a great combination.
