Decor Crush: Birch Bark

I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about birch bark that I am completely and utterly obsessed with. I’ve always been a sucker for all things chipped, peeled, and wooden — and the fact that it’s white might just be the icing on the cake. Everytime I see a birch tree, I rush over to see if any bark has fallen to the ground. If it has, I can assure you it’s mine. I glue it to candle holders… hang it on my fridge… I even have pieces of birch bark tacked up on my desk area here at work. I recently bought two birch logs from Terrian, which I have just leaning up against the wall in my apartment. They look beautiful.

I just love the cozy feeling that birch bark provides. It reminds me of winter, but in a homey, comfy way that makes me want to throw on my coziest sweater and build a tent in my bedroom. Ugh, I love birch bark.
