Halloween is just a couple of days away, and if you still haven’t gotten around to decorating or need some last minute finishing touches, I have the perfect idea for you! This was inspired by our amazing display team, who created beautiful cobwebs using doilies and string as part of our store display.
What you need: crochet doilies and yarn or string in a matching color. I found these doilies online here.
String some thread through the outermost points of the doilies and then attach to your desired location by knotting the string around various points!
It’s a bit tricky at first so if you want, use some tape to keep the doily in place as you get going. Use varying lengths of string in a haphazard manner to get the spiderweb effect.
Use smaller doilies to create mini cobwebs alongside the larger ones or sprinkled in various locations around your house!
Experiment with different locations – I love how this one looks on the table legs!

Love these! Can’t wait for Halloween, even if us Brits don’t go as hard across the pond. I’m going as Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction: less scary, more sexy!
