Pin-Speration: Our Senior Graphic Designer’s Captivating Pins

When I first created my Pinterest account, one of the first people I started following was our senior graphic designer. She has such an artistic eye, which comes as no surprise, and her pinterest boards are a true reflection of that. I love seeing what inspires different people and what types of pin boards they create, and hers definitely have a very artistic, vintage/retro vibe. There is something very calming about them too, the colors are soothing and the imagery feels very nostalgic. Take a peek at her Pinterest board!

“I’ve always been an image and inspiration collector, my desktop is cluttered with folders with random themes…”bangs..flowers…funny..or simply just “like.” When I started my Pinterest it was exciting to move those images off my desktop and out where friends and a community can interact with them. It’s fun to get lost in Pinterest, find friends of friends and next thing you realize you’re not sure where you’ve ended up! I also started following the Pinterests of blogs I read, so it’s become a one-stop-shop for me. It’s great to have an archive and life wishlist – maybe I can’t afford or find most of the things on my pinterest, but I’m able to asses my taste and find creative alternatives. Or while at a flea market or garage sale I can be reminded of a interior I was attracted to which had a similar item! The line between work and life inpsiration gets very blurred, as I’m pinning for personal inpsiration, it ends up helping me with new ideas at work, or finding something to send to a friend at work to help with their projects!”

One of my favorite of her boards is the one called “Specimen,” pictured above and in the top image.

Her “Dreamworld” board is full of gorgeous, ethereal images that will transport you to somewhere else in your mind.

Her “Paper” board is another favorite, featuring some gorgeous vintage imagery, book covers and artwork.
