More Adoptable Animals From PAWS, Plus One Special Dog Bed

Last week I made a second trip to PAWS, Philadelphia’s Animal Welfare Society, the city’s largest rescue organization and only no-kill shelter. I was thrilled to learn that since our first visit, three of the urgent animals featured in our post had found forever homes! They also had some sweet new cats (and a dog!) that I got to hang out with and photograph for the blog.

As you’ve probably seen by now, we launched our brand new line of pet products this week, which includes a beautiful Vintage Flag Dog Bed made out of vintage flags.  One hundred percent of the proceeds from this bed will go to PAWS and we are so excited to be able to give something back to this incredible organization that has saved so many animals in our city. Learn more about some of their adoptable animals below and if you’re interested in any of these cuties you can contact PAWS at 215-238-9901 or email them here, and to learn more about the organization and see more animals available for adoption, visit their website!

adoptable bull terrier

Lovie, female, age 2 -4 years, Staffordshire Bull Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier/Mixed (short coat)

My name says it all! I am the most loving and loveable pup you could imagine, with an infectious personality and gentle soul.  I love to sit in people’s laps while chewing on my toys, and I’m always ready for a romp with a tennis ball. Come visit me at PAWS!

adoptable cat

Bobbi Christina, female, young, domestic short hair

I’m a beautiful brown classic tabby – classic because I have these nifty swirls in my coat instead of stripes.  I like being a little different – I’m a bit of a rebel and I have a ton of energy.  Life has been a little crazy so far, I was found on the street by PAWS and now I’m in their adoption center, but I’m ready to settle down in a forever home!

Cattie, female, young, domestic short hair

I’m a curious girl, and I love to explore! Instead of meowing, sometimes I chirp – usually when I want attention or to let you know I found something good :). I love looking out the window and snoozing the day away in every sunbeam I can claim, and I can’t wait to one day sleep in the sunbeams in my forever home.

David Alexander, male, adult, domestic short hair

If you ask me what I’m doing my answer will always be “chilling!”.  I used to be a stray but I have developed the ability to make myself comfortable where ever I am. I love being at the center of everything – so I usually plop myself down in the middle of the room so I can see everything that’s going on! I have a huge personality and if you’re looking for a companion who will always make you smile and who is always down for some cuddling, look no further.

Tony, male, young, domestic short hair

I’m incredibly sweet and friendly – if you come visit me, you’ll have a hard time getting away from me! I love being petted and cuddling, and if you love me back I’ll never stop purring.

Punkie, male, adult, domestic short hair

I love people and I have so much love to give! I come when I’m called and I like following everyone around the adoption center – I just want to be near anyone who will pay attention to me!  I’m an active cat and would love to live with another cat to play with and burn off my kitten-like energy.

Cali Girl, female, young, calico/mixed (short coat)

I’m a calico beauty with long legs that make me appear to be stretching with every step!  I like to strut around  the adoption center. I’m a little shy but I’m your typical calico, always vying for attention. I prefer to be the only pet because I don’t like to share any of my owner’s love – I want them all to myself!

Aw, Lovie is ADORABLE! I have a soft spot in my heart for pit bulls and pit bull mixes. They are such wonderful, loving dogs with an unfortunate reputation.
