2 Ways To Wear One Essential FP Slip

Slips are a girl’s best friend. They add interest, volume, and texture to any outfit, and they’re the perfect starting point for creating a layered look. I’ve recently fallen in love with our Lace Convertible Slip for a million reasons. Yes, it does all of the things I just mentioned, but it can also be worn as a dress AND a maxi skirt. That’s not something we can say about every slip, so today we wanted to highlight this little guy and show you why he’s one of our favorites.

There are certain slips that seem like they can only be worn under a dress, but not this guy. I love wearing this slip AS a dress. To me, the details of the lace are far too pretty to be hiding underneath another dress. It also has an upper portion that’s smocked and stretchy enough to stay up on its own, so you can even remove the straps if you so desire. I paired it with one of my favorite leather vests, some statement jewelry, a pair of gold-tipped boots and a hat to shield me from the sun on this beautiful day!

I’m wearing the Lace Convertible Slip, Leather Vest, Clipperton Fedora, Kitt Heeled Ankle Bootie, Ladder Fringe Tassel Neck, Large Stone Ring, Motif Midi Ring, Maltese Lace Cross Cuff, and FP Opaque Tight.

My favorite way to wear this slip is as a maxi skirt. All you have to do is remove the straps and pull the slip down so that the neckline is at your waist. This will bring the skirt hem all the way down to your feet (which I love), but if you want it to be a bit shorter, you can just fold the upper portion down, underneath the lace! Here I paired the slip with a girly top, some fun jewelry, and some studded boots.

I’m wearing the Lace Convertible Slip, Dance With Harini Top, Santa Maria Cross Pendant, Sweet Antiquity Bracelet, Moon Shield Large Bracelet, Dree Eternal Ring, Dodge Ankle Boot, and FP Opaque Tight.

Tell us how you’d wear this slip!

I love this Bridgette! that slip is beautiful… I got inspired the other day from your how to layer post and I layered up my own version. My base layer was the FP lace leggings in black and a black cami I had alot of fun with it and I wish I had taken photos – it turned out so cool. I had to experiment a little at first, my biggest issue was making the look age appropriate for me since I am (43) but it turned out awesome and I recvd many compliments! You guys have no idea what you mean to woman my age that do not want to dress like a frumpy soccer mom :D

Thank you! <3
