To accompany our bicycle-themed January catalog, we wanted to do a tutorial for a helmet-friendly hairstyle…something simple and cute that looks great on its own or under a helmet. We decided the perfect style would be fishtail cowgirl braids, since not only is it a trending style right now, but it’s easy to do on yourself when you don’t have much time and are on your way out the door! Hair stylist Amy Farid shows us how to achieve this helmet-friendly style (plus, if you don’t know how to do a fishtail braid you’re in luck!).

Model is wearing the We The Free Loves Leopard Graphic Tee.
fishtail braids are by far my favorite, if only my hair would cooperate :) It’s cut in layers & is curly so when I braid, it some of it unravels…someday. She has beautiful long locks.
thanks for the tutorial!
Great. That’s exactly what I’ve been needing. An answer to a lot of my hair troubles. My hairs so long and I don’t know what to do with it most days. Thanks.
