Mini, Midi, Maxi Dresses: How We Wear Them

We love a great dress but sometimes it’s often hard to decide which length to go with. Right now we have a huge selection of dresses online from mini, midi, and maxi, all with beautiful details.  Here we tested out our favorite lengths on Brigette to see if we could decide which style we will be wearing when spring comes.

I always find that because I’m short the mini length looks most flattering on me and most of the time wear tunics as dresses. However, I do love the elegance of a maxi dress and tend to in the spring/summer months go back and forth on both of them.

For our mini length we chose our Moonrise Dip Dye Tunic worn with Galveston Boot, Kate Hat and then accessorized with our Filagree Cuff.

For a  midi dress we loved our FP One Imperial Palm Tuck Dress it sits just above the knee and looks great with its print, we teamed it with two statement pendants our Zapoteca Pendant and our Leather Stone Pouch Pendant that has lavender inside to calm your mind.

For a maxi look with can’t get over how pretty our FP One Cast Away Gown is,  it has neon pink stitching piecing together the patchwork lace making it a little different and unique.

Hello, I started a blog a few days ago and my first look of the day showed off a Free People lace maxi, I bought in NYC a couple of years ago. Love the brand and love this dress even more! :) http://wp.me/p38psH-1P

Posts like this one is why I check the blog every day. I love to see the clothes on real girls and get inspired by the styling. Very cute miss brigette.

I am obsessed with the Cast Away Gown. But I’m ridiculously short ((5’0″)) and would look absurd in it. When is the technology to make me taller going to come around?

Not that it’s that important, but when I was in school (in the 1970’s) those lengths would have been called micro-mini, mini and a maxi. To me, a midi-dress is mid-calf.

I love seeing how you all style different Free People items. I just bought the pull on flares. They are amazing. Everyone needs a pair!! Please consider doing a “how we wear…” for them!!

Also I’m loving the Bikram and acupuncture diaries! <3

[p.s. I tried to send this through the contact form but kept getting an error message – sorry if I just spammed you all!]

Hi ! Do you sell a white “dress” like the one the model is wearing underneath the Moonrise Dip Dye Tunic ? I’d also like to wear the tunic as a dress ! Thank you =)

I prefer a mini or maxi because I’m only 5’3 and the midi is just never really flattering on us shorter gals, but I do love a skirt or dress that’s short up front and longer in the back.

Georgi, I am so short, but I wear these types of dresses with boots/shoes that make my legs look longer; I highly recommend the Joe/Johnny boots by J. Cambell that FP sell; they make my legs look taller, and I also love the FP tall socks.
Yes, of course I wish I had long legs, but, remember, good things come in small packages :o)

So happy to support your organization.

All the given three dresses are really very beautiful but you are looking much beautiful in orange colored midi dress. High neck shoes with this dress adds your dresses and your attractiveness. I also want to get such type of gorgeous look.
