The Rosebowl Flea Market is one of the most famous flea markets in the world, it’s been running for 45 years and is situated in Pasadena, California amidst small mountains. We woke early around 7:00am to get there in time for the gates to open. The sun was so bright, and the people were happy with eager eyes flowing through the gates, ready to seek out unusual vintage finds. I was told before I flew to LA that the fashion at the Rosebowl was inspiring and I would not fall short of capturing a great selection of street style looks. That was proven true… as I walked around the market, girls made vintage look even more desirable that what it already was, creating unusual yet wearable looks from rare finds. I could have stayed there all day photographing the incredible looks I was seeing but unfortunately the gates close at 4. Here’s a peek to what the girls wear at the Rosebowl Flea Market.
I need to go there one day!!!!!

Great post! Must get there…
Love the post!! Went to the Rose Bowl Flea market a few years ago…..FYI the Rose Bowl Flea Market is held the 2nd Sunday of every month, depending on what time you get there will depend on your admission price. If you arrive between 7 – 8 am expect to pay $15.00 per person. If arrive between 8 and 9 it’s $10 after 9 it’s $8.00 (or if you want the VIP it’s 5 am – 7 am preview it’s $20 ) It is huge, I only managed the antiques area, but found an amazing vintage Polo cashmere button down black sweater for $10, so great deals can be found if you hunt!!
Oh hi!! That’s me, second from the bottom! Always so many amazing finds and inspiring outfits at the Rose Bowl. I hope you found some great pieces!

those are the most killer overalls!
OMG, those must have been some of the most hideous outfits I´ve ever seen. They are so not flattering and some are outright stupid. Wow. Just wow.
Shannon, I agree with you. Some people confuse dressing vintage with dressing ridiculous or clownish. I did like a couple of the outfits in the pictures, but in general they are trying too hard to be original and end up being a parody of themselves.
Please people, understand this: You DO NOT need to dress like a clown or wear clothes 3 sizes too big/small to be original. Be yourselves! The first lady with the curly hair looks great without looking frumpy and bitter, learn from her please!
PS. Also, please avoid dressing as a five year old: you are not 5.
