Desert Festival Final Photo Diary

I have been to many music festivals in my life, but I have never experienced anything like the one that takes place every year in Indio, California. There is something about this festival that doesn’t feel real – the setting is almost too beautiful. On more than one occasion I experienced those moments of pure bliss – when you’re so happy, so at peace with yourself and everything around you, that you are fully in the now. It’s a sensory overload, as the music fills your ears from all different directions. Soundwaves from stages across the field from each other meet and blend to create other-worldly sounds. Everywhere you look is a backdrop of mountains, palm trees and clouds, and strangely beautiful art installations decorate the grounds. I often found myself just staring in awe at my surroundings.  My favorite moment from the festival came on Saturday night during Yeasayer’s show. We ran into a group of friends and danced barefoot as the sun went down…I never wanted it to end.  On Sunday morning we woke up and did some yoga by the pool to wind down before Brigette and I had to head back to LA to catch our flight home.  Here’s a final photo diary from our trip!

Ran into the lovely Amy Soderlind at Yeasayer :).

Amy and her man Lauren are two of the most beautiful people (inside and out) I have ever met.

There is nothing more refreshing than jumping in a pool after a long day at a festival!

On Sunday morning we got up and did some yoga to wind down. We were lucky enough to have some of our FP Movement Printed Yoga Mats to use!

That is a huge no-no to press the sole of your foot against your knee in tree pose and may cause an injury. Place your foot above your knee and press into your thigh or below your knee and press into your calf instead.
