A music festival is a magical place, in all aspects – the setting, the music, the weather, and of course, the people. Festival fashion at weekend one was so much fun to see – trends we saw everywhere were flower crowns, cutoffs and crop tops, of course. But we also noticed a lot of fun mixed prints, maxi skirts and sheer, flowing kimonos worn over simpler looks to add a bohemian touch. With temperatures that go from blazing heat during midday to cooler evenings, kimonos were the way to go. Here are some of our favorite looks from weekend one of the music festival set in Indio, California!
We ran into one of our fp girls who looked amazing in the FP One Penelope Slip and Studded Muddy Waters Sneaker with cute ruffled socks – we also loved her festival paint!
Natascha of the blog In Search of Sadie kept it casual and cool in black cutoffs, a tank and ankle boots with a denim shirt for when the sun goes down.
Keeping it cool in overalls and converse hi-tops.
Dylana of Color Me Nana dressed up her fp denim cutoffs and focus on center tank with a fun printed vest and lots of accessories!
We loved Natalie Off Duty’s rock n’ roll meets boho look – she’s wearing the Border Print Bell Bottoms.
A good pair of rugged boots are a festival must.
Our Marla Dreams Dress was a popular choice! We saw at least three of them.
The best way to stay in the shade!
Cute crochet sandals.
We were so happy we bumped into one of our favorite FP models, Martha Hunt!
Lindsay of StyleBistro wore our Mad Cool Skirt with the LA Nite Tank and Liberty Backpack.
I loved Natalie’s eclectic look for day two! She’s wearing the Embellished Wrap Mini.
Dylana’s day two look was comfortable and cool in the Color Between Borders Smocked Short and Round The World Tee, accessorized with a flower crown and festival paint!
We were so inspired by all of these looks! Which is your favorite?

Loving all of these looks particularly Natalie and Dylana’s… such great inspiration for warm months in the near future!!

Halfway to Harmony
The gal with the long floral pattern pants & black cropped top, her outfit is darling! Also, I admire the parasol wisdom- all the exoticism it conjures. Speaking of which, have you noticed photographs from the twenties/thirties where the underside of their (usually beach) parasols are painted in different patterns? Totally FP, seems to me. :)
Natalie Off Duty is wearing the Golden Dreamed Necklace from http://www.loveandleather.com in the first outfit post where rock + roll meets boho! Love her! <3
Where is Natalie’s monogrammed bag from!? I’m in love.
Everyone looks nice and summery. I love the big turquoise statement ring!

Absolutely…Natalies rock n roll meets boho!! those bell bottoms are the bomb!!
Wow, this is beyond amazing!!! I love all the looks. I am lucky to have a job where I can sometimes (when I am not lecturing at uni) wear whatever I want (I am a scientist) so I pretty much wear festival style clothes to work!! This is very inspiring!!! I “made” a top that looks like Natalies from a vintage Obey t shirt.
Oh and PS. I have an almost identical backpack to the bright one, it is made by Hmong people from Thailand/Burma!
Martha’s SKIRT!!!!! Do you know where she got it? I saw similar shorts on Karen Blanchard on her blog, they were Zara. Anyone knows where one can get that skirt?
Love Natalie’s pants and those great crochet sandals!

Very stylish, with everything from retro 60’s and 70’s to modern day, these women are chic hedonists!

Why viewers still use to read news papers when in this technological globe all is accessible on web?
