This is part of one of my all-time favorite quotes, from Jack Kerouac’s On The Road. The full quote reads as: “What is that feeling when you’re driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? – It’s the too-huge world vaulting us, and it’s good-bye. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies.” It has stuck with me since the first time I read it, and I know this feeling all too well. There’s something melancholy about it, but then I love the hope of the last line, that is this week’s Monday quote. It’s about not looking back, and embracing that next crazy venture, whatever it may be :).

I don’t understand why so many people look up to Kerouac……….
