When I first saw our Sidewalk Safari lookbook my eyes went straight to the above left image and I thought: “Unicorn!” The braid, that is. There is something so striking about this look that we instantly set out to see if we could re-create hairstylist Amy Farid’s awesome creation. We were excited to find that if you can do a french braid, you can easily recreate this look at home! Here, FP Brigette shows how to get the look.
Start by gathering a thick section of hair at the top of the head to french braid.
Start the french braid as close to the forehead as you are able to.
Stop the braid when you get to the top of the back of your head, and secure with a rubber band.
Next, make a tiny french braid on each side of the forehead.
Secure the small braids with rubber bands.
The next step will be to french braid the remaining hair into two pigtails. Part the remaining hair in the middle. As you french braid each side, work in the leftover hair from the french braid in the middle.
Secure the braid with a rubber band and then pull it apart and mess it up a bit to make it look more rugged.
Repeat on the other side.
And there you have it! Unicorn hair just like our Sidewalk Safari lookbook :). What do you guys think, would you rock this hairstyle?

That’s gorgeous! Well done Brigette for recreating the look!
Jana has the most gorge hair!
That looks intense!
If I did that to my hair I would probably keep in it for a week. :)
