Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo so today we wanted to share a fun recipe for the holiday – or for any summer party, for that matter! This layered margarita is awesome because you get to enjoy three different flavors in one, plus it just looks really pretty! Here’s how to make it.
Ingredients: tequila, triple sec, margarita mix, pineapple juice, strawberries and ice (lime is optional).
Make each margarita separately. Here’s the recipe I used for each of mine!
Lime Margarita
1.5 ounces (1 shot) of tequila
1.5 ounces triple sec
1.5 ounces margarita mix
1 cup ice
I also added in some fresh lime juice
Pineapple Margarita
1.5 ounces (1 shot) of tequila
1.5 ounces triple sec
2 ounces pineapple juice
1 cup ice
Strawberry Margarita
1.5 ounces (1 shot) of tequila
1.5 ounces triple sec
Approximately 6 large strawberries
1 cup ice
*To make these non-alcoholic, replace the tequila and triple sec with some seltzer water!
Blend each margarita separately in a blender until smooth. After blending mine I put them in mason jars and put them in the freezer for another hour to solidify a bit more.
Pour the margaritas into a glass one at a time – I used about a third of each one, so this batch would make three margaritas.
The lime margarita was pretty close in color to the pineapple – to make it more green you could add in a tiny bit of green food coloring!
Garnish with salt – or coconut flakes like we did – and enjoy! Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I love the photos that you take, they are simply amazing.
I like the idea of using mason jars instead of traditional margarita glasses. I am going to try your pineapple margarita recipe it looks very tasty especially on a hot day. Very fun looking!
Thanks
