UK Music Festivals We Love

We talk a lot about music festivals here in the US, but there are so many incredible festivals that take place in the UK that we can’t forget about! We asked some of our home office girls from the UK to share some photos and memories from their favorite UK festivals. What is your favorite music festival?

From our Associate Web Merchandiser for our UK site.

My favourite festival memory has to be Hop Farm in 2010. It was one of those freak British summer days when the sun actually shines and we had the best weather for a day trip out of London to the Kent countryside. Lying on the grass with good friends, singing along to Seasick Steve, Ray Davies and Mumford & Sons, then finishing up the day watching Bob Dylan beneath a pink sunset sky! Perfect.

From FP Jemma

Glastonbury festival felt like a dream… it seemed almost make believe. Everything from the visuals to the lineup and the different villages to occupy your days. It’s not just a music festival, it creates another world full of vibrancy and imagination.

I remember sitting in a tree house in the Green Fields drinking tea and eating scones with jam, waiting for the Kings Of Leon to headline — this was back in 2008 and we were obsessed with them then. After the show we stomped our way to Shangri-La — this was an area of the festival that everyone headed to after the main stage performances had ended. Here there were DJs, robots, fire performances and crazy installations. When the night started to die down we headed to the Park, a hilled area that overlooked the festival, where we watched the sun rise.

Nothing compares to Glastonbury, it’s 100% magic — an experience you’ll never forget!

Lovebox 2011 was my last UK festival before moving to the States, so it’s always one that sticks out for me. Held in Victoria Park in East London, not far from my old neighbourhood, it was an awesome day spent listening to Snoop Dog and De La Soul!

Latitude is the best for folk-music lovers – it’s so chilled! Hop Farm has now been cancelled which is sad Xx
