Wake Up And Stretch

My alarm rings and my senses start to awaken. I press the snooze button until my mind has fully become aware that it’s time to wake up. It’s 6:00 am on a weekday. I’m laying in bed staring at the ceiling, thinking to myself, “Do I really want to get up and get ready? Maybe I should stay and have an extra hour in bed…” I’m talking about my yoga class that’s just down the street from me. My conscience sways towards the positives and I get up, get dressed in my yoga kit and head straight out the door. As I lock the door a slight sigh comes out of me.

The streets are softly bustling with the early workers and I start to feel more awake. During my yoga class I feel great. I’m making the most of my day. I chose to start the day with this positive light.

Love this post so much!! Getting up early and doing yoga always makes me feel good. Even when sleeping in seems like the best thing in the world. And I love that quote. When I have that perfect balance of focus and softness, I feel so content and blissful! Thanks for an inspiring post!

Girls, read this and follow the advice! I never stretched; never really bothered, just did lots of running/cardio. Now, at 35, I have a bulging disc in my back and a pinched nerve; might need surgery. When I am ok and healed again, I will stretch ALL THE TIME!!
