Yesterday was day 1 of Pitchfork Music Festival, and it was a great day, indeed. As soon as I entered the gates, it was clear that this festival is completely different than one like Coachella. The grounds are much smaller and there’s a cool, city vibe to it. Overall I would say the atmosphere is incredibly laid back. I loved every moment of it and can’t wait for days 2 and 3! Make sure you follow us on Twitter and Instagram for live updates from the festival all weekend!
Here’s a photo diary of my day:
The festival didn’t start until 3pm, so I had some time to explore Chicago – a city in which I’d previously only ever spent a few hours. It really is a beautiful place. Many of the buildings have tons of character and the entire city just feels so clean.
Upon recommendation from one of our photo guys back at home office, I walked to Eggsperience for breakfast. Holy cow, that was the biggest omlette I have ever encountered. It was delicious.
I gradually made my way to the Free People Water Tower location, where I had the pleasure of meeting 3 lovely FP girls!
I couldn’t help but to treat myself to a backpack while I was there.
Before I knew it, it was time to get ready, and off to Pitchfork I went!
I met up with another FP girl (one of our district managers), as well as blogger Caylee from If You Seek Style. I got to spend the whole day with these awesome ladies!
Here are some more snapshots from inside the gates!
It’s now day 2 and I’m most stoked to see Phosphorescent, as well as Belle & Sebastian. Will you be at Pitchfork today? I’ll be snapping photos for the blog and handing out FP tote bags, so come say hi!
Follow FP Brigette on Twitter.
Wish I was there! Looks like a really wonderful time! Have fun, and I can’t wait to see more photos!
xoxo
