Wear A Hat

Wear a hat – even if you never have before. Especially if you never have before. Hats have this amazing ability to pull together an entire outfit. They can even make a plain jeans-and-tee combo look absolutely exquisite.
As autumn draws nearer, my mind is drifting towards beanies and felt hats to exude that cool, fall vibe.

To be honest, I used to be afraid of hats. I always thought they looked incredible on other people, but that I would never be able to pull one off. I used to try them on in stores and love the way they looked, but I just couldn’t get myself to take the plunge. One day my friend gave me a beanie out of nowhere, and I thought “Why not?” The rest is history. If hats have never been your thing, I urge you to try one – just for a day. I have a feeling you might just love it.

  1. Hats just don’t look good on me. I see these adorable outfits using hats, but they look odd on me. Other people have confirmed. Beanies and cloches are the only style I can pull off, but I’d love to be able to wear brimmed hats.

  2. I don’t know about everyone else, but every time I see a photo of Jana on this blog I am floored by how gorgeous she is.

  3. I’m lucky that hats actually suit me. I have a great brimmed crochet hat that I always wear in the Summer. It’s true that hats pull together an outfit, but it’s just as (if not more) important that it keeps the sun off your face! I thin I own at least 50 hats! haha! I’m also addicted!

  4. Brigette, you always have such inspiring posts! I never wear hats, but I feel so inspired now :}

  5. @Hannah, I agree. Jana looks exactly like what I’ve always pictured the quintessential Free People girl to be. Of course, they are all beautiful!
