When the seasons change I always want to give my apartment a little bit of a makeover. We have a lot of lace fabric scraps and doilies lying around so I finally attempted a project I’ve been wanting to do for a while – a lace doily curtain. This is so easy to do and the end result is a beautifully delicate and completely unique curtain. Read on to learn how I did it!
What you need: A selection of lace scraps and doilies. Don’t worry if they are different shades of white, ivory and cream – I think this adds to the eclectic feel of the curtain!
Start by laying out your pieces the way you want them to be stitched together. Play around with different arrangements until you find one you’re happy with.
Start sewing them together one by one. You’ll find as you go that you can cut other smaller pieces to fill in gaps where needed.
Here’s my finished curtain – not perfect, but just the way I wanted it :).
I love how it looks in the window and it creates the most beautiful shadows as the sun filters through it!

I love this!! I inherited my grandmother’s doilies and this would be a beautiful way to display them and add a perfect romantic touch to my craft studio. Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful idea.
