Fashion Week Beauty Survival Kit

New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week kicks off today, and we’re excited to be in the mix of it all, capturing inspiring street style to share with you all here on the blog! If you’ve ever attended Fashion Week, you’re certainly aware that it’s a high-energy series of events filled with nonstop activity and excitement. If you’ll be in attendance this year, make sure you come prepared! Here are my recommendations for a natural beauty survival kit.

Coconut water

You’re going to be running around from one event to the next, and it’s important to remember to stay hydrated. I always like to keep coconut water like this one from Vita Coco in my bag because it’s incredibly hydrating (with electrolytes and potassium!) and totally natural.

Hand sanitizer

You’ll most likely be meeting tons of new people, shaking hands as you go. I love this lavender hand sanitizer by EO because it’s made with organic ingredients and smells like lavender, which will help keep you calm during crazy times.

Fresh breath spray

Along with meeting  new people comes lots of talking. I like to stay fresh with this fresh breath spray from Gaia. It’s made with organic herbs and is surprisingly powerful!

Rose water

Rose water is a whole bunch of products all rolled into one. It sooths and calms over-heated skin, cleanses pores, reduces redness, eases anxiety, and promotes emotional well-being. I like to spray this one by Heritage Store on my face or hands for a quick, mid-day pick-me-up! (…Or learn how to make rose water!)

Lip and cheek stain

Who doesn’t love an all-in-one makeup product? This 3-in-1 color stick by Mineral Fusion is made with natural ingredients and can be used on eyes, cheeks, and lips. Use on your cheeks for a daytime glow and then add a few layers on your lips for a subtle pop of color come nighttime.

Mint toothpicks

Whenever I’m eating on the go, I always like to have toothpicks on hand. These mint toothpicks by Tea Tree Therapy are made with birch wood and infused with natural extracts including peppermint and tea tree oil. Sometimes I’ll pop one in my mouth just because I love the taste.

Lavender sachet

To be honest, I like to keep a lavender sachet with me whenever possible. I hold it up to my nose and take a deep inhale to calm my mind after a long, busy day. It’s the perfect way to end a crazy, fun, fashion-filled day (or week) in New York.

Like all of the products except the coconut water…yuck…have tried it from a box, rather just drink from the coconut as my fore-fathers did in Hawaii.

I use this rose water every day and night. I mix 4 or 5 sprays in my palm with my face lotion to make it apply smoother and it’s cost effective. Plus it’s really calming and great if your breakout prone. Also you can spray it in your hair =)

I use the rose water daily too! LOVE that stuff. Couldn’t live without it. Vita-Coco is the most delicious coconut water on the planet. My favorite flavor is the pineapple one. SO GOOD.

Hey Jenni, you’re wrong (or drunk). Dr Pepper Snapple Group is a beverage distributor that handles distro for some independent companies like Vita Coco. They do not own Vita Coco nor are Vita Coco products GMO. Go to sleep.

This summer I discovered Vita Coco, i’m hooked. Riding my bike around the city in the heat, nothing makes me feel better. And their coco cafe gets me to work after a long night of drinking, (whoops)

Beautiful stuff! I’d only replace for the coconut water and have this one http://www.tiana-coconut.com/ that tastes much better like when I went to Philippines :)
