zodiac sign illustrationSCORPIO

October 23–November 21

Retrograde Mercury in your sign puts you in a contemplative mood, and when it runs into lesson-loving Saturn this week, you’re able to get to the crux of the matter in regards to your development. You’re taking yourself seriously in a positive way, and your will to grow has a broader context. You want to contribute something to the world and need to come into your own to do so. Mars and Pluto coalesce now, creating a power surge that can fuel targeted action, but unruly Uranus argues with your co-ruling planets, making it difficult to master daily life, despite your strong will. Current responsibilities and habits are variables, throwing a monkey wrench into your plan for progress. You can feel it all coming together, but the slow-fast-slow-fast pace of change is frustrating. A solar eclipse in Scorpio interacts with every other planet, plus the growth-oriented lunar north node (also in Scorp) and Chiron, an asteroid associated with healing. Expect intense emotions, but rather than withdrawing to cope with them, let them rouse you to own your power, build alliances and give yourself permission to be whole and happy. Consider this your new beginning.

zodiac sign illustrationSAGITTARIUS

November 22–December 21

Anarchic Uranus in your fun sector has his fourth fight out of seven with commanding Pluto in your security zone this week, reviving the ongoing conflict between wanting to be totally free to enjoy yourself and having to contend with financial difficulties. These issues aren’t easily resolved, but you may decide to go after something that gives you both pleasure and money. In the meantime, a solar eclipse in your house of endings draws your attention to unfinished business, words that are not exactly music to a Sag’s ears. You’d rather leap into the future than tie up loose ends. This house is also associated with self-undoing and the subconscious. It’s where we stuff things down that later surface and cause problems. Because it contains everything that we sweep under the rug, the 12th house is sometimes referred to as the dustbin of the zodiac. Now it’s time to root through the trash, so to speak. Pull out and confront whatever you need closure on—in order to earn more peace, heal an old wound, strengthen your drive to achieve and transform your self-worth.

zodiac sign illustrationCAPRICORN

December 22–January 19

Detached Uranus quarrels with controlling Pluto again this week, impelling you to connect with your innermost feelings so you can understand how they may be driving your desire to expand your jurisdiction. If you’re trying to maintain an exceptionally firm grip on everything and everyone, it could be because you don’t have enough awareness of where you’re coming from emotionally. Dynamic Mars in your faith sector is clicking with Pluto, so optimistic action will reinforce a healthy sense of power. Mercury retrograde gives you time to rethink where you’re headed next, and it’s joining with Saturn and a solar eclipse in your hopes-and-humanity house now, beginning a new chapter with your objectives and groups. With ambitious Saturn here and potent Pluto in your sign, you’re in networking mode. Your drive to achieve and the network of people in your life are not separate entities, and you should certainly work your connections. But the karmic north node’s conjunction with the new moon reminds you to uphold your integrity so that people never become a means to an end. Strive to receive support with the highest intentions.

zodiac sign illustrationAQUARIUS

January 20–February 18

Uranus in your cognition zone compels you to keep an open mind, as it periodically rattles your thought patterns, and purging Pluto in your subliminal sector is stirring up trouble in your unconscious so you’ll work through your emotional baggage. When these planets butt heads again this week, both sides of your brain will be under stress. But a serious reevaluation of goals and highly focused action will help you to regain equilibrium. A solar eclipse in your ambition angle represents a potential turning point in your life direction, as it conjoins the karmic lunar node and you-reap-what-you-sow Saturn. Delays and frustrations in your career may lead you to take a different path now. Or if you’ve worked diligently for success, you’re apt to see the rewards in the next six months. Uranus is instigating an impatience in you that could make it harder to see the long-term process at work and your options within it. Forceful Mars and powerful Pluto in two of your emotions house cooperate with the eclipse, implying that following the trail of your most intense feelings will get you on the right track.

zodiac sign illustrationPISCES

February 19–March 20

The recurrent discord between your erratic finances and your evolving wish list for the future gets activated this week, with Uranus and Pluto doing battle. Anxiety about money and obsession over what you’ll do next combine to create a crisis in your head, and perhaps in your life. But the solar eclipse in your philosophy house encourages a fresh perspective. Pensive Mercury retrograde and serious Saturn join the eclipse, telling you to reassess your belief system and face a truth that you may have wanted to skim past. Your idealism doesn’t do you any favors if it clouds your judgment. Practicality, responsibility and thoroughly researched plans are your friends now, as unappetizing as that may sound. Just-do-it Mars in your relationship angle and powerful Pluto in your network sector connect with the eclipse, pointing out the fact that you don’t have to pursue your aspirations alone; you have allies. Also, the asteroid Chiron—associated with healing—is in Pisces and harmonizing with the eclipse, suggesting that a new way of viewing life will soothe an inner wound you have borne for a long time.

zodiac sign illustrationARIES

March 21–April 19

Several intense planetary happenings could make you impatient this week, with rebellious Uranus in your sign playing a key role in much of the friction. Having to operate within a system, submit to authority of some kind and accept the ponderous pace of change in your life direction has been hard for you, especially since Uranus has given you an itchy trigger finger. But doing your homework and taking methodical, precise action will pay dividends now, whereas shortcuts won’t. Think things through, and then do them the right way, resisting distractions. Four planets in your closeness house—including a sun-moon conjunction that forms a solar eclipse—are drawing your attention to the complicated reality of sharing your life with others, in contrast to the simplicity of being an independent Aries. The eclipse could mark the beginning of a new phase in your close relationships, including romantic, business and platonic ones. To be able to invest wholeheartedly in another person, you may need to let go of an unhealthy connection or trust life enough to take an existing relationship to a deeper level.

zodiac sign illustrationTAURUS

April 20–May 20

Your sign is known for its stability, but disruptive Uranus in your subliminal sector has brought out an unconscious impulse in you to shake things up. Meanwhile, transformational Pluto in your perspective zone has been pushing you to gradually alter the way you view life. This week, these two get into round four of their seven-round heavyweight bout, and you’re likely to feel the tension of change now. If you can wrap your head around the fact that the impetus for change is coming from within you—even when external events occur that are beyond your control—you’ll pave the way to a more fulfilling expression of your whole self. With tons of activity in your relationship angle, including a solar eclipse, the natural tendency is to assume that other people are steering the ship. You can learn something about how you relate to others if you look at how you relate to the parts of yourself that you don’t readily identify with. Open your mind and heart to your own complexities as well as those of others, and your relationships are bound to benefit.

zodiac sign illustrationGEMINI

May 21–June 20

Don’t be surprised if you experience turbulence in your relationships this week, with unruly Uranus in your group sector fighting with demanding Pluto in your sharing zone. The unpredictability of others and the difficulties of partnership have been a theme for you lately, and it comes up again now. Focus on what you can do differently, rather than pointing the finger. A conglomerate of planets in your self-improvement house is working to get you to change your m.o., and your ruler Mercury’s backward phase can help you to slow down and review how you handle your work, your health and your day. Challenge yourself to shift an emotional pattern—like displacing your anger—and an element of your routine—like a self-sabotaging habit—in order to better your daily life. The solar eclipse, in tandem with a few other planets, is encouraging you to maximize your productivity. Getting serious about taking care of yourself, managing your time, sharpening your skills and doing thorough work may sound tedious to an ADHD-type of Gemini, but it’s worth it to learn the lesson that’s presenting itself now.

zodiac sign illustrationCANCER

June 21–July 22

The uncertainty of your career path is intensified this week when wild-card Uranus in your ambition angle clashes with powerful Pluto in your house of others, heightening your feeling that you’re not in the driver’s seat when it comes to achievement and relationships. But forceful Mars in your cognition-and-communication zone suggests that a more empowered, assertive mindset will work wonders for you and transform the dynamic in your dealings with others. An assembly of planets in your personal-fulfillment sector climaxes with a solar eclipse there, indicating the potential for a new beginning in love, creativity and pleasure. Karmic Saturn’s presence in the mix leaves no doubt that the universe isn’t giving any freebies, but rather, tallying up what contribution you’re making to your own happiness. Are you expressing love or just looking for it? Are you putting in the work on a creative project or waiting for inspiration? Are you making a concerted effort to bring more joy into your life or hoping it will happen on its own? To enjoy a fuller life as your authentic self, take the reins.

zodiac sign illustrationLEO

July 23–August 22

An urge for freedom and travel conflicts with responsibilities that sometimes feel like a burden, as liberating Uranus in your adventure sector spars with intense Pluto in your daily-routine house this week. Your job or how you spend your time is evolving, and at the moment your future is a bit of a question mark. An old viewpoint may no longer hold water, and being in between workable philosophies could make you anxious. As a resilient Leo, you prefer to put the past behind you. But when the sun conjoins Mercury retrograde, the moon and the moon’s node (with the proximity of the node turning the new moon into a solar eclipse), you’re called to face the past in order to move forward. Revisit emotionally charged memories, parental issues and childhood patterns in order to work through your feelings about them. In making peace with what got you to where you are now, you’ll shore up your self-esteem and strengthen your determination to work your way toward change you co-create. An emotional truth within you carries the lesson that will allow you to heal.

zodiac sign illustrationVIRGO

August 23–September 22

We’re all thrown by the feud between Uranus and Pluto this week, and for you, the friction is likely to play out in a close relationship. A compulsion to be yourself may make you want to escape the entanglement of personal commitments. Doer Mars in your sign is giving your actions extra weight, so try your utmost to act with integrity. Your ruler Mercury is backtracking in your communication sector and runs into responsible Saturn there, asking that you speak with great care as well. You can express yourself with authority, so choose your words wisely. Mercury’s retrograde phase gives you time to reconsider old thought patterns and try to understand the way your mind works. The solar eclipse in this part of your chart confirms that your path of growth lies in new thinking—thinking that is more mature, more nuanced and more profound. That—coupled with decisive action and an empowered expression of feelings—will eventually have a subtly cathartic effect on your relationships. In turn, getting different results from your attitude and behavior will send variant feedback to your brain, reinforcing a new loop.

zodiac sign illustrationLIBRA

September 23–October 22

Uranus in your partnering angle has brought unusual people into your life, altered an existing relationship or made you deal with others’ unpredictability and independence. Pluto in your foundation sector has meant family turmoil, tumultuous emotions that date far back or a feeling that your comfort zone is under construction. When these planets do battle this week, related issues come to the forefront. But planetary activity in your worth sector, climaxing with a solar eclipse, makes it clear that you need to take charge of your own security. The north node’s presence there speaks to the growth that will come from it, and Saturn stipulates that you be mature and responsible. As punitive as his “you get what you deserve” message can feel, he’s all about putting in the work to earn the rewards. Saturn wants us to do what we usually already know we should be doing. You can build a stronger base of security if you rethink your financial strategy; figure out how to utilize more of your talents; shift your feelings about having to work for a living; and curtail self-defeating behavior.

  1. I don’t wish to be rude, but Astrology makes me angry because it is NOT real and should NOT be taken seriously. It’s only an excuse to wrongly categorize and stereotype people… :(

  2. It’s really strange to me that whatever’s going on in my life is actually relevant to this. Granted, I won’t change my life to mold whatever my horoscope says, but it IS interesting that I’m frustrated with work and my horoscope reflects that haha!
