Monday Quote: There Is A Pleasure In The Pathless Woods

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.
-Lord Byron

This quote by Lord Byron opens one of my favorite movies — Into The Wild. Throughout the film, there is a certain stillness. A stillness that you can only find in nature. There’s something about being out in the wild, only to be surrounded by what mother earth has created herself, that feels like home. To see the world in its natural, peaceful, quiet state is refreshing, and something we oftentimes don’t get to see every day. Sometimes all it takes to clear your mind and de-stress is a little moment of solitude in a beautiful surrounding. For me, that’s one of my favorite things to do: to see, and just be.
