November Catalog Behind The Scenes: Water
Today I wanted to share one final batch of the incredible behind the scenes images from our November catalog shoot in Iceland. I keep going back and looking through these images, again and again. There is something so powerful about the landscape, from the massive ice formations and vast open spaces… it reminds you how small you and your problems really are. As a Scorpio, I fall under the water element, so these photos really speak to me. Read More
Spotlight: Vegan Leather
I remember when I put on a vegan leather jacket for the very first time. My style has always been really feminine and girly, and with this one flip of a switch, I simply — and suddenly — felt cool. The look of leather is incredible in its ability to do such a thing. Read More
Simple Decor Idea: Plants & Kitchenware
Plants and kitchenware. It only seems natural that I would combine these things for a way to decorate the home… I always try to surround myself with nature in any way possible, and in the last few years I’ve acquired an ever-growing collection of vintage kitchenware. It somewhat saddens me to keep all of my gorgeous glasses hidden in the kitchen cabinet when they’re not in use, so I discovered another use for them: as planters. Read More
Blogger Diary: I Dream Of Africa
Africa, how can I repay what you have given me? Your people who radiate with such astounding beauty and light, no matter what their personal life has served on their plate. Sights of deep perseverance and hope give 24 hour goosbumps. Strangers become family in an instant. Human connection is the deepest, most simple ingredient. Forget language barriers, politics, haves and have nots… connecting with an elder of 110 years old, holding hands and smiling souls: that’s it.

Ayurveda Journal, Week 4: Skincare (& Mind-care) Routine
It’s been a full month since I’ve been introduced to the world of Ayurveda. I don’t know that my life has drastically changed just yet, but I’ve made changes — both external and internal — that I can feel have already started to get me moving in the right direction. (An interesting side note: I just accidentally typed “I don’t know that my mind has drastically changed just yet” – instead of “life”… So fitting, as my mind is the apparent cause of my need for healing). Get The Look: Tuxedo Girl Makeup
Our new lookbook — Tuxedo Girl — is up on our site, and it’s all about a feminine take on a masculine look. The styling is simple, with classic black and white mixed with a fun pop of shine or lace here and there. Our model Ieva looks cool and pretty as ever, with natural hair and the slightest hint of makeup. The natural look is not always the easiest to achieve, so I turned to our lovely Makeup artist Deanna Hagan to give us the lowdown on how to get this raw, cool-girl look for ourselves!

Monday Quote: There Is A Pleasure In The Pathless Woods
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.
