For our latest short film and catalog, our team shot at a secluded cabin in Maine owned by our assistant art director. The property consists of two summer homes called “The Workshop” and “The Playhouse,” located on the water in tranquil Rockport, near the charming town of Camden. When I look at these photos I can almost smell burning wood from a crackling fire and feel the thick wool of a cozy blanket wrapped around my shoulders. It’s the perfect place to escape from the world around you for a little while, and get back in tune with nature and the things that matter most. The best part? You actually can escape to this cabin…if you’re interested in renting it, see the contact info at the end of this post :).
The breathtaking landscape that surrounds the cabin.
Downtown Camden, Maine.
This is our summer home that we call “The Workshop” …we filmed most of “The Cabin” here and we also all stayed here while we filmed. The Workshop is located on the water in beautiful Beauchamp Point in Rockport, Maine, minutes from amazing restaurants, hikes, islands and more. The Workshop is rentable June through September.
This is our summer house that we call “The Playhouse.” This property sleeps 4 and is really sweet and cozy…I think it’s my favorite place on a snowy winter weekend! It’s surrounded by water on 3 sides and the sunrise here is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen! This house has been in the family since the 20’s and is definitely a unique and magical place.
If you are interested in renting either of these properties, contact karanorthcut@gmail.com for more info.
it looks amazing!
Hi there! Can anyone tell me how these photographs were edited? I really like the vintage vibe they have, but I never really know how to edit my photo’s like that. It looks so magical!

This looks…perfect. wow. I can just imagine myself baking and drinking hot chocolate in the cute cabin after a long day of exploring the town.
Kristy its called film, probably… lol
I’ve actually been to this town and it is even more beautiful in person! I love the new film, FP, and these pics are beautiful. Makes me miss Maine so much!!!! Thank you for posting
Camden and Rockport is also very close to Deer Isle, Maine- probably the most magical of any ME midcoast towns. Stay at Deer Isle Hostel in the Spruce Hut! They are a homesteading couple who built this place themselves and live an inspiring lifestyle in the beautiful woods of the island!
Thought I recognized my homeland. NOW WILL YOU PLEASE OPEN A STORE IN PORTLAND!!! :D
This is a follow up to my last post at 7:20pm – I just looked at the catalog. my god does it make me want to go home even more…. (in Italy right now, been here for 3 months -the winter months here just aren’t the same/don’t have that magic) ….. ALSO That 89 toyota land cruiser in the catalog is the same one my dad had when I was growing up/still drives it. basically nostalgia overload. thank you free people for giving me a lil taste of home :D
Eeeep, makes me miss my home in Maine!

Great base for pictures :)
In my opinion, the most beautiful is the third picture. Group of friends with the dog and the climate of the mountains.
This looks wonderful. Here is another great option: https://sites.google.com/site/134mcwainpond/

Love, love, love, Camden, Maine! Saw it for the first time two years ago and knew it was something special then. Would love one day to come back. Thank you for the wonderful memories.
I will be staying a little ways away from here in Bar Harbor, Maine. I stayed there once when I was little, in the same house I’m staying in this summer too! I instantly fell in love with the tight-knit beach towns and glorious forests. New England is one of my favorite places in the whole world, I now live in Arkansas (about 2-3 hours away from any FP store :( ) and the Ozarks remind me so much of the mountains in NH. Thanks for reminding me of an amazing place :)
Beautifull…it looks dreamy…
